Log 015: “They’ve picked up their assault again, and we’re still stranded. There hasn’t been a viable source of fuel that we can find- It seems like those plants got rid of it all, somehow. The Cooking crew was taken about two days prior to this Log Entry… It’s been tough. The rest of the crew and I have been searching for something viable to eat- but it’s not looking good. I’d say there’s about… 4 of us left. Hopefully, I’ll live for another log.”
Log 017: “This is bad news, Jim just got taken by those things– What the-?” (Sound of the breaker short-circuiting in the background…) - “Wait… No no no… Please.. Not again–!” (Abrupt End to the Log, Brief static afterwards.)
Log 021: “…” (Brief Static, before a voice comes out, clearly not the same voice as before.) “Hello? Is this thing on–? Oh. Good. This place is totally infected- I probably shouldn’t be here long. (Off to the side.) I’ll be taking this recorder with me. Maybe i’ll get some information on these things off of it.”
Use Game Overlay Devices, or whatever they’re called now. Activated by a button by finding a database / And or log blueprint on the ground. Turning on the blueprint would show for one of these three or the other logs presented by others.
I know it works because I’ve used it in several of my previous games.
These two devices, preferably making the button hidden yet still be linked to the overlay via channel and not wires.
These are only logs, not visual recordings as I’m aware. So you’d only need to input the text into the game overlay and just add the sound effects described in Parentheses.
You wake up not knowing who you are, the last thing you remember was you running from… something and remember placing record tapes to remember. Each time you collect and hear/read a tape, you start remembering slowly, where you come from, what you do, why you’re here, who you are.
This is good. i like a lot of these ideas. could someone perhaps plot a course, all the logs locations, tasks, events, enemies, etc? its a tiresome task.
Ok, some locations are gonna be like research facilities to study void entities,
One of them is gonna be somewhere northeast. It’s gonna be damaged after a void entity escaped. Which also turns out to be the location you worked at.
Most other locations are gonna be damaged but still working while others are just like your old base.
Lobby: Starting point, where players learn about their mission.
Control Room: Directly connected to the Lobby; contains initial logs and functions as a monitoring center.
Engineering Bay: Accessible from the Control Room, crucial for repairing robotics and interacting with sentries.
Research Lab: Accessible from the Control Room; introduces players to experimental plants and initial horror elements.
Botanical Gardens: Connected to both Control Room and Research Lab; a lush area that turns ominous as players explore.
Experimentation Chamber: Accessible via the Botanical Gardens; where darker experiments took place.
Sentry Workshop: Adjacent to the Experimentation Chamber, detailing the creation and malfunction of robotic sentries.
Cryogenic Storage: Leads from the Experimentation Chamber; contains chilling revelations about experimentation.
Abandoned Quarters: A path leads to this area from the Sentry Workshop for eerie exploration.
Captain’s Bridge: The endgame area, accessible from Abandoned Quarters, where players face the final horror.
Logs with Increasing Horror
Below are the logs streamlined according to the newly structured layout. Each log corresponds to the location its intended for.
Lobby Log:
Log 001: “Welcome to the Aurora Space Station! We, The Research Crew, are excited to begin our exploration of the uncharted territories beyond. Please familiarize yourself with the layout of the station and ensure that all safety protocols are followed. Remember to keep your consoles updated. Teamwork is vital!”
Control Room Log:
Log 002: “Today marks the first successful growth of our experimental flora. The plant specimens show promising signs of adaptation. However, there have been reports of unusual behavior. Please remain cautious and report any anomalies to The Technician.”
Engineering Bay Log:
Log 008: “We are not alone. I heard something moving in the shadows while repairing the mainframe. I thought it was a teammate, but there’s no one around. I am sealing the entryway. I wish I hadn’t ignored the warnings. The sentries are active.”
Research Lab Log:
Log 003: “The experiments have escalated. Some flora are emitting strange bioluminescent signals and show aggressive tendencies. The Research Crew has decided to monitor them closely. Any who enter should wear protective gear and be prepared for unexpected outcomes.”
Botanical Gardens Log:
Log 004: “The situation is deteriorating. I found one of our team members in a trance. They claimed to hear whispers from the plants. I will investigate the roots of these specimens tonight. Perhaps they are communicating? Whatever’s happening, it’s growing more unsettling.”
Experimentation Chamber Log:
Log 005: “Something horrible happened today. One of the experiments has escaped containment. I won’t disclose what it was, but it was like no form of life I’ve ever witnessed. I don’t know how much longer we have here.”
Sentry Workshop Log:
Log 006: “I’ve done something terrible. The upgrades to the sentries were meant to protect us. Instead, they have become more autonomous and aggressive. I’ve lost control. Anyone reading this, be on high alert! They don’t recognize teammates anymore.”
Cryogenic Storage Log:
Log 007: “The whispers have grown louder. I’ve just checked the cryogenic chamber and found it empty… The Captain must have made a grave mistake. The cryogenics were not meant for storage, but for… containment. I need to find everyone before it’s too late.”
Abandoned Quarters Log:
Log 009: “I fe@r for my life. I found remnants of The Research Crew scattered throughout the station. Their last logs paint a dark picture. How can I escape this nightmare? I must hide; I can hear them. They’re not human anymore…”
Captain’s Bridge Log:
Log 010: “This will be my last entry. We made a horrific discovery. The experiments weren’t failures; they were a means to an end. I hope the recordings survive us. Flee this vessel while you still can. Trust no one. The plants… they know…”
its gonna be mapped out an contained. the players must wander through the halls and find out what happened, and then hopefully escape before it is too late. missions could be finding a spacesuit to be able to access the gardens, or repairing a damaged fuse box, etc.
the AI has added two new locations and logs, and updated the order. apparently the hallway that leads fro mthe enginnering bay must connect to the other rooms alongside it.
To enhance the map and incorporate additional locations and logs, we can add two new rooms to the space station layout: Maintenance Shaft and Observation Deck. The Maintenance Shaft could serve as a suspenseful area where players must navigate through narrow, dimly lit pathways, while the Observation Deck offers a panoramic view of the deep space beyond—mingled with dread from what lies within.
Here’s an updated layout of the space station including new entries, as well as new logs reflecting increasing horror.
Log 011: “Nothing feels right. I ventured into the Maintenance Shaft to perform routine checks, but the air feels heavy—thick with tension. I heard sounds that were not just machinery; they haunted my ears like distant voices calling for help. I need to leave this place…”
Observation Deck Log:
Log 012: “The stars… They seem different tonight. We often gathered here to observe the cosmos, but what we saw last week was terrifying. A shadow moved across the stars, colossal in size. Was it just a malfunction in the viewing screen? I desperately hope that’s the only explanation.”

Additional Notes
The new locations of the Observation Deck and Maintenance Shaft are intended to heighten the horror within the game, serving as spaces filled with tension and mysterious occurrences. The players will experience gripping narratives that lead them deeper into a story that becomes increasingly dark, just as they navigate through the twisting hallways of the Aurora Space Station. Feel free to adjust or expand upon any of these ideas to fit your vision for the game!
You find a broken glass tube it fell on a plant you think “Oh well” and pick it up while you head out you hear a small bang you go check and the plant grew partly out of its vase not thinking anything you head to bed in the middle of the night and check on it the plants gone trying to find it you find its vase starting to worry you find the plant starting to develope you decide to contain it over weeks it fully developed and breaks out the container and attacks and spreads its mutation while you run and hide people exited the ship… (I’ll finish l8r
