Guide to Seasonal Decor! (WIP)

Just_Me here!
Welcome to my second guide! Basically, its about making small seasonal decorations that really pop life into your games! This is a Work-In-Progress, fyi.

Spring!!

Flowers bloom and stuff. Cool.

Flower Cart!

To begin you must choose one of the Market Stands or the Wooden Wagon. My images will be of the Market Stand(blue), btw

Nice. Then you need to grab the text device. Click the device, then right click the text part of it.

Click Emoji and pick out flowers. Put it on your stand- BUT WAIT!

Click the up arrow twice on the text or put it in the above players part of the layers. Then repeat until your stand is full of flowers!

Summer

Guys I’m melting here…

POOLS

FIRST, grab the barrier device and change the settings to look like this:

Except turn the transparency to 1.00. Copy the barrier as many times as you want, and it should look like this:

Now grab the Custom Shape tool and draw an outline for the barriers. If you want extra details you can grab the moss prop, turn it blue-er and semi-transparent. I, personally, didn’t add the moss.

Fall

FINAlLY ITS FALL

Apple Orchard

Grab any type of tree. For this example, I used a dry tree. Then, grab the text device. Do the emoji thing shown in the Flower Cart example, but choose an apple.

Okay, good. Move the text device to the above layer and put it on the tree. Make more apples, put those on the tree. Duplicate the tree and BAM! You have an apple orchard.

Winter

Great, we’ve already made it to winter..

Christmas Tree

This one is pretty basic, sry
If you don’t celebrate Christmas, then I’ll be making one of those Hanuka things soon. And learn the name.

First, grab one of them snowy trees and make it bigger. For the popcorn and cranberry strings, grab a custom shape device and draw it. Copy it and make it bigger for more.

Looking good, huh? BUT. WHAT. ABOUT. THE ORNAMENTS?!!!
You guessed it, more custom shapes. this sure uses a bunch of memory xD and THERE. Tree

Cranberry String

First, grab the custom shape device. Then, click device and the manage shapes button

Now you need to draw it. Here’s how:
Click the add new shape then draw a line like this

Afterwards, draw a whole bunch of circles on it and clicksave. You can change its colour to yellow or red if you’d like!

Are you going to add a conclusion

i recommend that you also put in the guide how exactly the cranberry string is drawn(not how to put a custom shape, but how exactly its drawn, because for someone like me, they would not be able to draw a very good string, so i recommend you put in details on how to make the string look better
Besides that, the guide has good explanation, some humor, images, and formatting, so its pretty good

…why
Why would you want a conclusion in an art guide
What do you expect to be written in said conclusion

I am not sure what you are trying to say with the second part of your sentence, but use the like button if you feel the urge to express its decency, it exists for this humble reason

I thought of a Christmas guide but I was never that hardworking to do a Seasonal Decor guide!

Very cool! (I love the Christmas tree’s lights, I forgot to add that to mine)

I feel like the apple orchard looks a bit plain for some reason… maybe add dried bushes and a rake to make it look more real (you know what I mean).

The pool is pretty cool but fairly simple. Rocks on the side and coral will be cool (even though it’s a pool, it looks a little plain don’t you think?)

I honestly just LOVE :beating_heart: the flower cart. I’ll definitely use that, its creative and looks amazing!

I understand this is a work in progress, :downcast_face_with_sweat: if only we could turn this into a wiki somehow…

I’ll give you some ideas for other things you could make:

Winter

you could just link my Christmas guide (Christmas Themed Ideas) The guide has a bunch of things you could make to make your map Christmas themed. Like you mentioned, adding Hanukkah stuff would be good.

Spring

Easter is in spring, correct? I don’t celebrate it but add bunnies and beautifully decorated eggs, very vibrant. St. Patrick’s day is in the spring too… uh… four-leaf clover? OH, rainbows and a pot of gold!

Summer

Beachball, floaties, sand, fishes, picnics, canoes/kayaks, popsicles, watermelon, umbrella, crab, ice cream, pineapple, coconuts, dolphins, clams, seagulls, and starfish are suitable ideas! (Yes, I know I kinda went overboard with the ideas)

Fall

Autumn trees, those beautiful multi-colored leaves always draw us in. Thanksgiving foods are great ones to add.

Thank you for those ideas! I’ll add as many as I can!!

Maybe add cherry blossoms!
I could design some if you want!
Also maybe this can be turned into a wiki for others to add to it and so the editing time won’t end.
Editing time is short so try to finish this guide as fast as you can.

Only TL3’s can turn there own post to a wiki or TL4’s can also do that and turn other posts into wiki’s. I think Jeffo can turn this into a wiki, not sure about that, you could try pinging him.

How do I turn it into a wiki? Or does someone else have to?

@Jeffo, could you turn this into a wiki, please?
