Forsaken is an 1v8 game where 1 person is a hunter and the other 1-8 people are the survivors. Hunters have abilities and are able to use tracking moves. These help find survivors.
For example:
Jason/Slasher has Raging Pace. This highlights the nearest survivor and slows Jason down slightly faster than his usual walking speed but disables sprint.
c00lkidd has Pizza Delivery which spawns two pizza bots which walk slowly toward the nearest survivor.
I KNOW PIZZA DELIVERY IS NOT POSSIBLE THIS IS AN EXAMPLE
John Doe has Error 404. This highlights everyone’s location along with giving passives, but I’m not going to talk about that.
The point is I need to find a way to make tracking abilities, since waypoints don’t work for me.
What do you mean, waypoints don’t work? do you need help configuring them orr??
(also I’m pretty sure c00lkidd’s pizza delivery ability isn’t possible unless I’m wrong)
oehhhh ok
lemme try and test to see if I can try and see if I can waypoint other people/sentries
what thing has to be clicked to activate the waypoint?
I have an idea
This idea MIGHT work but MIGHT not because I haven’t tested this
ok so
when the overlay is clicked
wire it to a relay set to “All other players”
then wire the relay to the waypoint and set the waypoint to “location of player”
if this doesn’t work I’m gonna crash out and edge
alr I’m crashing out
Waypoints can’t mark multiple things at a time. Sorry! They are quite confusing devices, they will only be able to track one player at a time unless you have multiple. If you try to use a relay, it will just mark the person who received the signal from the all players relay last
I think it would be easier to use coordinate points,
To let’s say display your coordinates and when you use the ability display everyone else’s coordinates, I can explain how to do this later
For the pizza delivery for cool kid that isn’t possible btw (at least not realistically)
Alright, yes, its gimpossible to mark more than one player on a single waypoint, so i have an idea that does not require you to place multiple waypoints
Trigger loop-relay-random other player-waypoint-track this player
So what it does is every very short time it swaps the waypoint to a different player, so if you put the trigger delay low enough it should look like every person is displaying same time
