How do you make a cooldown overlay for a speedboost?

you just hide the overlay when the button is pressed and show it after a delay

Yea but for the cooldown timer part would you just do it like how you would make a normal overlay timer?
I used this guide.
the simple way is to use a delay on a wire repeater
that timer is for having a time that counts down on it
you could use that and have a short timer, but you would need to deactivate the rest of the system so nothing happens until the timer is done
