So, I’m making an incremental game and I need some form of automation. The first main mechanic is fishing…
Basically, if anyone has any ideas on how to make an (ANIMATED!) fishing machine, or really just factory-lookin machine in general, that’d be great.
Thanks so much!
That’s not what I mean, but thanks!
what props could I use
Hmmm try green barriers and stuff? I’m not that artsy…
could we do gears somehow?
What props are even faintly machine-y?
There’s… like… plates, i guess? Could make em spin…
i really have no idea
Circle barriers with small rectangles could look like a gear…
oooh, i like it
gonna be terrible to animate, but sounds like that’s what ima start with.
maybe on the body of a barrel, and then something else is feeding in and out of the barrel?
Instead of gears, play into the medival/Renaissance theme and use belts. Two circle barriers and two black poles.
@WolfTechnology Do you think you can help?
Give me a second to get the picture!
You could use an animated stick to go up and down with a text made to look like a line
Like that for a hook. and have it to move “up and down”
How do we make it more machine-y?
lol my plan right now is to do a ‘fish vat’ that duplicates fish (its just a barrel)
They look so silly though lol
don’t fit in at all
There is a tractor prop, you could use that and the bicycle rack.
Also yeah, @WolfTechnology please come and help!
For the plow part, you could used tinted bicycle racks.
I’m having a hard time visualizing, let alone explaining this, so bear with me
I’m not looking for traditional farming equipment. I’m looking for something clearly machine-y, but unorthodox. Something that melds together and looks normal, but also fits into Gimkit.
The fishing rod moving back and forth was a really good start.
Also, thank you all so much for the help, I really appreciate it
right now, I have a fish vat. it looks like this:
I just need to add the fishing machine and some sort of animation to the barrels
