AI Integration Plausibility

its completely possible, just not a chatbot

a more simple toned down version from the 1990s is completely plausible in GKC

Blackhole proved it:

(gimkit creative is probably not an absolute turing-machine because of memory limitations, but it most likely is a linear bounded automaton)

wait, so does that mean that gimkit passed the Turing test?

  1. HOW?
  2. When can I see the AI implemented?

The turing test is a different concept. What we are talking about is turing completeness which basically means Gimkit Creative can be used to build anything(given enough time and resources).

ooooh, okay. For a moment I thought that Gimkit had passed the Turing test, and I was like… ā€œHuh?ā€

Oh yeah definitely. AI’s like ChatGPT can have over 1 billion parameters, even character limits within properties could only get us to the thousands, not only that but they are also given millions of articles, books and data from the internet to recognize speech patterns and pretty much learn other stuff. Even if you gave AI only a specific chunk of data, it’d still take a while, along with fine-tuning the responses.

Anyway I don’t do Gimkit anymore and I’ve said my piece so I’m out of here. Good luck!

the only restriction preventing us from simulating anything (pretty much) is memory. Remove that (possibly with a mod idk much ab modding tho) and smth like ChatGPT can be created, but i’m no one has the dedication to spend months (maybe years) making it

I have got it. I figured it out. use the questionnaire to wire the game to your ai. Then make edits in your ai to function your game

yeah no this is impossible in any scenario. bc of the vast code to Even port an ai into a game would crash gimkit

i got pinged into this topic at some point. i’m not gonna say anything about the technical possiblility of ai in gimkit. i will say that it harms the environment, steals the work from real people who write things (like my parents), and is not an acceptable educational tool. therefore, we should not integrate ai into gimkit. :palm_down_hand: :microphone:

Cassius what you are not grasping is, were not using it for a tool were using it as a fun thing to add and it would only be for testing, And that we would possibly make our OWN AI before integrating

like testing what specifically?
also it’s not really a problem of anyone grasping what the reason is for
it’s just the idea of ai because generally most are against it for a variety of reasons some stated in this post that of which do not relate to the use you are stating

but in all fairness to you I do use ai to get results on computer specifications more quickly for my info tech class which does imply that it is useful but the trade off to having ai in gimkit is generally far too much for far too little progress in my opinion

but if you truly want to do this then keep on pursuing it even if no one else helps

That’s my worry I do not want to be alone on this, this project was a hope to work to together and learn to be a team

even if it’s used ā€œjust for funā€, it still has environmental and ethical costs. making an image with ai for fun still costs several bottles of water, and writing a funny poem still copies the work of professional, paid artists.

nevermind that you do NOT have the resources to make your own ai

Cassius I entirely Agree but at the same time You know how stubborn I am
If I want to make my own AI to run off sources I make so it only knows that Info I shall do it

I am taking in all of your guy’s concerns and thinking of compromise

I will make my own AI that only runs off purely sources I shall give it
anything else would deem it a citing AI
I for a long time yearned to make such thing So I feel if I find the right people we shall accomplish it

Sassy Cassy cannot even stop me I am DETERMINED for the first time in years towards something program wise to accomplish this!

a project that requires brainpower?
count me in

so first we need a simple AI
[done]
then we need it to be able to be smarter
then we can make it truly AI

also i can help provide sources for it

Explain this system to me and what it is supposedly doing

because looking at it all your doing is multiplying each property by 10
