5 Tips and Tricks for Making your Posts!

Hi there, Argo Here

Does your post look boring? Well, this post is so to help you make them look interesting.
(NOTE: Your posts don’t have to be good, you can do something simple and people would follow along with it)

TIP 1: Headings

Headings can help with catching the readers attention and navigating them around the Guide, it can also be used to show key parts of the guide/post.
To make a heading, put a # BEFORE you start writing a section
Example:

# The Quick Brown Fox Jumped Over the Lazy Dog
The Quick Brown Fox Jumped Over the Lazy Dog

TIP 2: Sub-Headings

Most people dont know how to make sub-heading so here you go. If you go onto a new line under text and add a -, the text will bold and become bigger. It’s a little smaller than Headings and is quite hard to tell the difference.
Example:

The Quick Brown Fox Jumped Over the Lazy Dog
-

TIP 3: Preformatted Text

Making Preformatted Text helps highlight text for block code in Gimkit, it’s also useful for displaying ways other for formatting, like what I did above!
Example 1:

# The Quick Brown Fox Jumped Over the Lazy Dog
The Quick Brown Fox Jumped Over the Lazy Dog

Example 2:

Set Property "iron"
Value <Get Property "iron" - <round down <Get Property "iron">>

TIP 4: Dividers

Dividers are, well, good for dividing sections in your post :man_facepalming:. It’s quite easy to do, all you need to do is add a *** on a new line.
Example:

Sample Text
***
Sample Text
***
Honorable Mention: Polls

Polls are easy to make but sometimes can get confusing. But don’t follow what you see here, check out the tutorial below:
How to Create a Poll (Difficulty 0/10 or ⬜ )

TIP 5: Quoting Posts

Quoting posts is a good way to link 2 posts bewtween each other, and to do it, it’s pretty simple! All you need to do is click the first button at the top of the formatting bar.

How do you do those arrows that have information inside them when you click on them? Like the one you have for Honorable Mention: Polls.

Do you have to do all of that or is there a simpler way? @max1

I’m sure there’s guides on it, but yes that’s all you do.
