Hey everyone! It’s that time of the year again…

It’s time for the Gim Jam!

The Gim Jam is a competition where players will make a game in Gimkit Creative preferably based on the theme within an about two week timeframe and submit it through probably a Google form (currently working on the internals. Stay tuned!) Once that timeframe is up, y’all will be able to vote on the best maps from the submissions!

The theme this time around is Forest :deciduous_tree:!

Now before you scatter and get on creating your games, we have a few rules in place…

  • Your game must remain anonymous. You can not make any sort of apparent reference that you’ve made it. (Ex. No “Made by John Doe” in lobbies)
  • No advertising (Ex. No “Hey go vote for ‘super awesome map’ for the Gim Jam!” We need to ensure submissions don’t have an easy giveaway for who made what map)
  • Abide by Gimkit’s TOS
  • The theme is optional but highly highly encouraged

And get this. The winner of the Gim Jam will be able to win this year’s Season Ticket :ticket:! If you want that glorious ‘bogos binted’ gim or other perks the Season Ticket provides, you best put your top work on this game!

You will need to have created your maps and have them ready by October 5th. You can start entering submissions on October 1st.

Awesome! Can’t wait for the submissions and results!

Also, I have a question regarding this event, are participants allowed to collaborate on making a map together for this?

if you already have this season’s season ticket, what will you get then? and gimkit is blocked on my chromebook now ;-; so i’ll do on my ipad.

Im going to say yes but don’t count on everyone getting a season ticket. If you do make a collaborative map, be prepared on potentially choosing one member to get the prize.

Depends if we even get to this point. We could reward Gimbucks or next season’s ticket. If this happens, we’ll just talk with the winner and figure stuff from there.

Next time when scheduling this, we should communicate with the leaders so they don’t schedule an event during this.

Nah. Even so, this still wouldn’t be allowed without clearance from Team Gimkit.
(It has been running for the discord for a while, but got advertised in the Wix)

Nice! Maybe I’ll participate, maybe I won’t…depends on how much schoolwork I have. But,still,all off-topic ness aside,this is an extremely great way to keep the community engaged in GKC. Keep up the good work meepy!
