So, what’s better? Several checkers that don’t use much memory, or a trigger that uses a bunch of memory that doesn’t take up much space?
Just asking for some opinion on this. If this is off-topic, I will remove this immediately because I’m not sure whether or not it is.

Memory- nobody will care about your organization at the end of the day, but if you can’t make use of your available memory, fewer people will like your map.
Having a good balance of both is essential. It’s good to make your map accessible to edit and be optimized.
