it works for me just fine maybe check your internet
it may just be their internet, server, or a VPN is having some conflict with it. I have had it do that when i had a router blocking the gimkit site.
The status is fine, but I still have the problem. (No, its not my wifi.)
maybe reset your iPad thats my only guess

shut down your device, it may not be updating to the current status. That or just give it a good restart.

then just give it a while that’s my only and last guess
strange, mine was always working it never crashed. but it may have only worked for a few people? idk honestly.
