I’ve just made a map, but I’m debating whether to publish it. Are there any benefits or things to gain from publishing a map?
not much, guess it could go on your resume if you want to work at gimkit (like me).
mainly that other people can play it forever until it gets deleted and you can see how many people play it, and that lobby’s look better because the camera view works in the published version.
- you don’t have to generate a new link every 7 days
- you can see how many plays you get
- you get to show your game to the public
- bragging rights ig
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that’s kind of about it…
atleast camera view works before the game starts
also Welcome to the Fourms, hope you have a great time here, recommend you check out the FaQ!
also you may want to change the catagory to Help and not Community Made Guides!
also this
i don’t think it really would, more like something that you can tell gimkit but not a deciding factor
bragging rights ig?
true… but it does show " HeY iMa COdeR" to potential employers
Not really. Block coding is one of the least used forms of coding in professional programming
We all start somewhere even professionals and I bet Block code was the beginning for a lot of us
Block code teaches children input and output and will teach you the basics of actual code
scratch.mit.edu
and other platforms too
Scratch coding sucks tho ngl.
Publishing is only there to share maps with people and the whole world. And that’s basically it
and some other perks that eiq said too
The main benefit of publishing a map is publicity, of course.
I’m sorry that statement made me chuckle.
scratch isn’t bad. you can do quite a lot with it
infact you can make something like 3d but lets just get back on topic
Griffpatch is great he literally made fnaf with the code
A realistic fnaf that actually works
and griffpatch made getting over it scratch edition
and 2d minecraft
Even I know A friend that made a scratch project that has pixels that detect where you are outside your screen with the camera
and the louder you are the darker the pixels get
