  1. I’m not. Ask @x.mochi or @I_Like_Props.
  2. That is kinda off-topic, please don’t ask stuff like that.

Great guide! I love the drawings.

People already know how to use props. Almost all people, at least. We don’t need guides on how to use props if everybody already knows how to.

What do you mean by “like a face”?
If you’re asking if it will look like a face, then it depends on the way you make it.

Now let’s get back on-topic.

Why? Am I not allowed to tell people to stop doing things that are wrong?

Well, the forums not just about info, we can also have fun with projects like this!

Props have like 10 settings. They’re easy to use. We don’t need an explanation of how to use them.

In addition, this is the same as every other art guide.

[I know people have already said this in this topic but really it’s not working.]

I want to note something myself.
While this guide is genuinely well written, it isn’t needed to much.

That’s true that’s true.

hmm… you guys make a good point. should I move it to Devices as an unneeded deleted topic?

It was well written, just not really needed.

Here is something for you all to think about:

The best way to learn something is to figure it out yourself. It’s not the fastest way of learning, but it ends in the least confusion. As much as these forums are for help, when it comes to simple problems, I would advise that rather than simply telling the answer, we guide the poster towards finding the solution themselves.

When someone figures out how to do something on their own they get to experiment and learn about how all the mechanics of whatever system they are making work. I’m sure plenty of people of here have followed guides and gone “What the heck is happening here?”

Point is, it’s better to, for simple things, guide people towards finding the solution to their own problem rather than just telling them. Especially for simpler things, like trying to reset a counter, it’s better to go “Have you tried checking the options of it?” or “What if you wired a trigger to it?” rather than just telling them.

To conclude this, here is something my math teacher said:
“When you simply type something into a calculator, you forget the math that is actually happening. Your brain doesnt even think about what is going on, and so when you don’t have a calculator you don’t know what the heck you’re doing.”

The same thing can be applied to gimkit. Teaching and guiding is better than telling.
(I hope that this is coherant, I’m typing this as fast as possible to get it done before class starts.)

woah… As my ELA teacher would say, ‘Very eloquent.’

Yup. But it gets really hard to do at times. By the way, I love how the only incoherent part was you spelling coherent wrong.

lol

I have been trying to say something along those lines but couldn’t think of the right words. I totally agree. Awesome insight, and literally should be the first thing a new user sees.
