Turn-Based RPG Ideas

are my ideas considered monsters (I hope not)

Oh, ok. Do you classify Bob as a monster? Because he is an interdimensional being that can travel through space and time, not a monster.

Stress

Alright, now we got that cleared up lol- I’ll think of some more ideas.

I was joking.

smh
Hit Points - A players health
Attack - A players damage
Speed - How often the player attacks
Defense - How much of the damage the player blocks
Intelligence
Strength
Dexterity - Physical agility

Ik that you were hopefully joking around but i guess it pays to clarify anyway

You know what ima come up with a formula sheet for those stats
Make it so the stats can actually interact with combat stuf

I gotch you

Stat Example Value How it Interacts Example
HP (Hit Points) 60 A numerical value that will decide when the player dies Health <= 0 → Die
ATK (Attack) 10 A numerical value that dictates the amount of damage a player can do at one time. Enemy HP - ATK = New Enemy HP
SPD (Speed) 7/10 A fractional value that dictates how often the player attacks 7/10, every 7 seconds
DF (Defense) 20% A percentile value that dictates how much damage the player blocks Deals 50 damage, blocks 20%, takes 40 Damage
INT (Intelligence) Low A string value that dictates the players intelligence; Can be Low, Medium, or High. In order to find the ball you need Medium Intelligence.
STR (Strength) Medium A string value that dictates the players strength; Can be Low, Medium, or High. In order to lift the rock you need High Strength
DEX (Dexterity) High A string value that dictates the players physical agility; Can be Low, Medium, or High. In you to jump the gap you need Medium Dexterity.

Phew done

heres what i was planning

hp (very basic dont need any formulas there)

phys attack: 1 point = 2 hit points worth of physical dmg (dodgable)

speed: increases the amount of which a property increases by (target of 100 b4 it resets/gives a turn )

def: every 1 point = 2 less damage points taken

dodge points every 2 points of dex = 1 percent of dodge increasing chances to evade an atk

magical atk: every 1 point of this gives 2 points of magical dmg (not dodgable)

int: every 2 points of this = 1 magical atk + 2 points of dex

strength: every 2 points of this= 1 physical attack point+ 2 points of def

and for abilities that have multipliers and levels an example would be

void drag: deals 2x or 200% of magical dmg
skill upgrade benefits
void drag lvl 1 deals 2.2x or 220% of magical dmg
void drag lvl 20 (max) deals 10x or 1000% of magical dmg (end game stuff)

I’ll leave this up for a couple more hours then I’m going to close it
