Tower Defense Brainstorming

Why not just use a bunch of props or barriers? Does it have to be sentries?

That’s what I said, but I think it has to be sentries, since that the point of a tower defense game

I don’t get that, since the sentries aren’t supposed to shoot you back.

Yeah, but if you block them with a wall from shooting they have no choice

What? Barriers are just as good, since they can track damage, don’t take a bunch of memory, and they’re easily animated.

Josh said that they’re going to add a way to make sentries run/move soon. (Without teleporting)

Also, what do you mean does it have to be sentries? The towers should probably be sentries, but the moving enemies can’t be.

Use the one hp barriers.

@getrithekd if so, no, you can’t. Sentries cannot interact in a signal-bearing way with props.

Tower defense could definitely use props as a substitute for sentrys.

But they cant. :smiley: Cus sentry interactions are gone. :smiley:

Yeah since for a tower defense game, you don’t need the enemy to hurt your towers, (attackers)
you only need to attack them.
A great example is btd2 if you’ve played it

Ok, so its clear we need a new method aside from props. What are some other damageable things in the game?
