Strange zooming behavior on mobile

iPad 10th generation, iPadOS 26.1 dev beta 2 (most likely happens on any mobile device)

In safari, zooming out will create a white bar at the bottom , this is a mobile bug reported here: White bar on the bottom of the screen

Getting around this is possible by pressing the “hide toolbar” button, which will fix the white bar on the bottom of the screen. This can also be fixed by rotating the screen.

On the contrary, zooming in will cause the gim / viewport to not be centered and appear too large, which can be fixed with the same workaround.

I do not think this will happen on a desktop browser as safari / webkit on apple devices just will behave slightly differently overall.

Wait… so what’s the bug then? It seems you already found a solution to one problem, and used another topic for another solution.

Should this be a guide? (hmm… a guide to bugs… why hasn’t anyone thought of this?)

EDIT: Nevermind there are some guides on this… (Just searched it up)

Honestly, we all know that Gimkit is really buggy on mobile, and, as I mobile player myself, have encountered this glitch an annoying amount of times. But I’ve never found a fix before…thanks for that ;). (How’s it going twofour)

not exactly a guide, but close enough

The issue is the behavior when zooming in and out on mobile when using Gimkit Creative. It has yet to be patched since 2024 or even 2023 which is why I made this topic. I know the white bar issue was covered by a mobile player once before, but this is old and hasn’t been fixed yet for mobile. The opposite issue when zooming in has not been covered yet, but is related to the white bar issue.

But there’s already a solution. No?

Yeah, but this won’t be permanent and will come back the next time you zoom in or outwards. Zooming just causes the behavior mentioned in the original post to occur again.

Oh, I see it now. But unless you contact Josh or Jeffo or someone like that, what’s it gonna do about it. There’s no permanent solution, so I suggest just bringing it to a mod’s attention.

Another way to fix it is click the back arrow and hope you reconnect. Thats what I usually do.
Another mobile bug (idk maybe computers too) is that some button game overlays just STOP working after like 5 minutes into the game

2 (different) ways I fix it:
1: refresh page, should be able to just go back and it will fix
2: go onto an app for 3 seconds, then go back on and it fixes it. Always worked when my dld had that glitch
(I am on same iPad so it should work)

Maybe this should be a guide, instead of bugs.
