I want ideas that I can use for upgrades/buffs in a game I’m making. All i need is a name and how to do it.
What is the game theme? (ex. PVP)

Theirs two ranking of buffs/items Legendary and rare. Legendary requires beating bosses and rare requires getting money. The thing is a boss fighting game
You could have the player purchase boosts such as enhanced speed or strength. Sorry, I just know the concept, not the actual device mechanic.

You could give them a more HP by buying the upgrade. Just something I thought of.
Every time a boss is defeated, they player should get a set number of rewards to buy the buffs.
Cost: 250
Speed: Vending machine: Once purchased → Speed modifier: Set speed to (example) 2.0
Dmg: Vending machine: Once purchased → Damage Boost device: Set players damage to (example) 3x
Overlay HP + Shield Increase (click for regen)
Cost: 1500
Vending machine: Once purchased → Enable Overlay: Overlay clicked → Health granter device: Amount given 3.
(So, every time you click the overlay you can get HP or shield (depends on which setting you choose))
For a cooldown: Overlay pressed → Trigger → Disable overlay —> Overlay disabled → Trigger a sperate trigger: Delay of 3 seconds → Enable overlay
Remote Upgrade Station:
Cost: 300
You could feature remote crafting with an overlay. Maybe the player starts out with rare gadgets and can upgrade their gadget throughout the game with your chosen currency.
Critical hit chance:
Cost: 400
the critical might break the other damage boost thing though
you could just make a property that makes that buff the default for the gim like the 2x damage buff and the crit can go on top of that by multiplying damage by 2
for this I don’t know if having the boost applied after firing will give the projectile the damage boost

Gadgets
Damage boosts
Dynamics
Maybe attack and speed boosts as well as new abilities, gadgets, sentries on their team, and more things like that.
Some ideas I used for my map are Getting more $ when defeating bosses, regenerating health, speed boost, damage boost.
If your map is a map where players aren’t on a team then you could have all other players have a speed decrease, damage decrease, or make it so all other players take damage when defeating bosses.
Also, you could make it so the player gains health when they launch a projectile. (also, you can give players infinite ammo with this method if you don’t have an infinite ammo setting already
Sorry, I have so many ideas. Another one I used for my BR map is you gain money every 5 seconds.
