Resident evil/Bloodborne/call of cthulhu inspired game lore

I need lore for a game I’m making, where a company has caused the apocalypse, by making a gas that makes people sleep, if they don’t escape the dream they become a monster, and they do this for an eldritch God trying to enter their universe named agathoth, I need lore for the main character, people in this company, and how agathoth gets in the universe through this gas, also just enemies

kinda, but if you d1e in the dream you get infected, if you survive, you stay human, most get infected

the player will face a puzzle like the gas, but usually will just be trying to survive in the real world, against the company, the eldritch God and hunger
