i want to make it so when you spawn in my map you get random weapons or heals but when you die you lose those weapons and get another random set of weapons/heals. any idea how?

Yeah that sounds like a cool mechanic!
First set up a randomizer
Use a lifesycle and relay to make all players get the item when the game starts
Use a lifecycle to check when a player is knocked out and randomize again
Make sure they lose their gun on death by toggling it off in map options
There is also a setting to take away gadgets on death in the map options
