I’m currently making a Lethal Company-esque game and I need help with a certain mechanic; making the scrap spawn randomly within a disclosed area. As far as I’m aware of this is impossible, or at the very least immensely difficult. I could just be overthinking this though. Any help?
What do you mean by ‘scrap’? Also, a way you could do this could be to have a load of deactivated props (I’m assuming the scrap involved is one of the trash props), then use a randomiser to make a random one appear. It wouldn’t be perfect, since there would be a limited number of placements, but that’s the best solution I can think of.
Here’s a randomizer guide. I think after having the randomizer randomizer, you have it send a signal on a channel which would activate a different scrap.
My idea for this was to have multiple planets you could travel to, and each planet would spawn scrap (items you can sell) on its surface in randomly changing locations every visit. I would also like to do this same thing but for Sentry’s, but I don’t think that’s possible just yet.
just a suggestion I never seen this game but try doing a thing where teammates can track each other so they can work better
All you have to do is get a vending machine and the item will already be randomized for you
How is it already randomized?
I haven’t played GIMKIT in a while but I know there is a item where when you spawn on your map, it has a question mark. When you first spawn a vending machine it has a question mark so it is randomized, if you want the item to be specific, you actually have to change the settings for the vending machine.
No, they want a prop to appear randomly. Also, it doesn’t do that. It just gives you nothing.
that concerns me that you think that
