I want to make a Pizza Tower map that recreates the first floor and the tutorial. To do that, I need help making:
The mach run mechanic (which will just be passive instead of holding a button) that increases over time from .5x, to 1.0x, 1.5x, 2.0x, then eventually 3.0x
The wall run mechanic (which will also just be passive) when running into a wall at 1x+ speed
The points system (which I have an idea for), with areas for big toppins, toppins slices, those cheese blocks, and various others
The toppins that follow you, but it may need to be a UI counter of “Total Toppins Collected”
Some of Peppino’s moves that will be tougher, like the grab (which we can use something like a Pickaxe for), the super jump (which could be a UI button), and the quick drop roll (I can’t use that d___ word)/dropbomb (which could also be a UI button)
I’m sure there’s more I’m missing, but once we have it figured out, this could become a guide for making a PT based map. Help, please and thank you!
I need ideas/help for some of the above 5 things, @B1NARYC0DE and @Gimkitsuggestor.
I just need the tech or inspiration to create nearly or all of those ideas above.
I think those help, @Gimkitsuggestor. I can probably expand as I need to with that code, and somehow change a ScoreTotal property by 10/100/1000 each time the player collects something. (I forgot I need the level maps, and the PT Wiki is blocked here… can someone give me level maps of floor 1 and the tutorial for now? These will be in the first demo, so we need some starting ground)
Edit: By the way, I may not be able to recreate the entirety of floor 1, especially with the Knight, Explody thing (can’t say that b word) Carrier, Hot Sauce, Rotating Pizza Cutters, and more mechanics and transformations. So instead, I’ll remake John Gutter, and base my Tutorial on my new moveset and create a custom Hub world and level of it’s own (stay tuned to find out where that one will go…)
Unfortunately, I’m gonna have to scratch this project. There’s no way to recreate a passive speed build up, a data efficient way to handle score-giving items without making a bajillion channels and channel management, and a lot of other aspects that prove this may just be impossible. I’ll close this thread, but examples on how to do the points thing itself is over on that 5-figure property game overlay thing thread that is also in Help. Thank you if you were one of the ones who helped me out, and for now, goodbye.
