Question on a jump

I was looking at this Community Made Guides guide and thought about a new jumps. I’ve also seen this on many jump helps. This was the guide (this isn’t advertisement btw):

I was thinking about a neo jump, like the one in Minecraft where you have jump around some blocks to continue straight. I’m asking - would this be possible in a platformer? At first, I was thinking not cause you need a 3D area but I need other opinions.
What’s your thought (this is my question)

Can you explain more what a neo jump is?

A (bad diagram) (side view)

Let’s say your on a straight path (flat) but in front (on the path) is blocks that you can’t jump over or under, the only way is to go around it. Like if you have a circle and the blocks are in the middle of it, you have to follow the line of the circle to the other side. Another diagram: (top view)

I do not think that this is possible

I don’t think this is possible, beca-wait a minute, it is possible. I’ll send a pic of how you would do it.

I think it is possible. @Aguero10

you could’ve discussed this in the Catalog you linked, since it is related to the topic.

The only thing though, it takes a few barriers, 2 zones, and a prop/another barrier. Still researching it in GKC though, I’ll keep you posted.

The version I made, you can either go in front or behind it, but with some variations, it should be able to match the jump you want.

platformer is well, a platformer. you cant really jump around things like that. (not like wraparounds, that’s under, around, over)

I actually found a way to do it, but I’m trying to find a way to upload a video of it.

I get that idea cause you need a 3D world but there must be a way
Like blackhole said: nothing is impossible in gimkit (or smth like that)

so you want to turn a platformer 3D? uh…

And how do you expect the jump to function, key-wise

I was thinking that a barrier art screen could show what movements you do in 3D (constantly moving forward as well) like pressing left will make the barrier art go left and right as well. This idea could work but it would take wayyyy too much barriers

Yes I do understand that it would look bad but is there another way then?

Also:

I’m sorry but that’s quite rude :sad_but_relieved_face: . You can’t make an assumption just because of that reason, I might not be the best but I’m the best at being me.
