Props to add to your platformer to make it harder! (Overview)

Hey guys, @Scary_Friend here. This is my very first guide and yes I searched before I’m posting this, so I have a right to be useful for once!
(I posted this early and had to redo it…)

I would like to make this guide editible, there are many props and I would like to sleep, but I will edit this guide as days go by if needed.

This is about your choices is objects when making a difficult obby or platformer. I’m going to be going over certain items that are difficult or easier for certain stages. You may notice I only use nonseason ticket items. Unfortunately, I don’t have the season ticket.

Note: Changing the size of the object can effect difficulity.

Blackboard leg

Difficult. Unstable and useful for challenging obbies.

Candle

Extremely Difficult. Unstable and useful for challenging obbies.

Barrier (Horizontal)

Very easy and should be used for easy stages.

Barrier (Vertical)

Not as easy as horizonal, but still very stable.

3-D Printer

Very easy and should be used for easy stages.

3-D Printer (Infected)

The same as the normal one. Very easy and should be used for easy stages.

Alien plant

Mid tier. Can be unstable but easy to land on.

Avil

Very easy and should be used for easy stages.

Arcade Machine (On and off)

Both on and off are mid tier. The object is large, but I think it’s easy and good for easy stages.

ALL Arena Flags

This can be hard and can be easy, depends on how you rotate it. The tip of the flag is hard to land on.

Armor Display

Very easy and should be used for easy stages.

ALL Barrels

Very easy and should be used for easy stages.

BasketBall

Mid tier. Stable and unstable at the same time.

BasketBall Hoop

Depends on how you land, very mid tier.

Bicycle Rack

Very easy and should be used for easy stages.

Wooden Table (Both ways)

Very easy and should be used for easy stages.

Yellow, Blue, Green, Purple and Red Corner Sofas

Mid Tier, Unstable but easy to land on.

ALL Wooden Signs

Wide and easy to land on.

Black Briefcase

Hard to land on, but stable.

Wooden Chair

Mid tier. Wide and stable but size effects the most.

Blackboard

Wide and easy to land on.

ALL Wooden poles

Very useful for difficult obbies, hard to land on.

Blue Chemical (infected and noninfected)

Extremely difficult, you will find this useful in hard levels.

Filing Cabinet

Very tall and stable, good for easy obbies.

Flowers and Flower Pots

Both are hard, flowers are very hard and good for hard obbies.

Boat

Very easy to land and good for easy obbies.

Again, I will edit and add as needed. How useful was this?

i feel like this guide isnt 100% useful unless ur platformer is prop spam, and even if it is, it most likely isnt the highest quality game :grimacing:

a lot of good platformers are barriers and tight squeezes since the barrier device is much more customizable then props.

Thanks for your honestity! I spent about an hour making this so I will praying I didn’t do anything wrong, and I really appreciate the feedback.

nothing wrong w/ the guide
idk if the title should be “extreme” but it should be smth like
“Props to add to your platformer to make it harder!”
or maybe smth else, and also if u add more to the guide it could be better.
but it is kinda late (for most ppl) so dont do to much late at night, it’s not good for your brain!

also thanks for taking the feedback/honesty well. most ppl get mad or cant take the truth

lol, I was doing this earlier, but I posted it by mistake, so then I had to start over, and I think my friends are gonna ask why I have lines under my eyes…

Well, nice first guide, it looks like you put a lot of effort into it!

First things first, I feel like this guide is considered non beneficial in most cases because most people can just figure this out themselves.
But, I guess it would be beneficial to people just trying to save themselves some time and immediately find the hardest props to use.

Second, good 'ol intro but maybe make it more… interesting you know?

Third, I can’t see the flower pictures…

The format for the guide is ok, and it is not a dupe i’ll give it that, but i don’t quite see the usefulness of the guide
The guide in its entirety lists the props that are either very big or very small, and i think most people can tell just by looking at the images for the props in the menu(you wouldn’t really even need that many of them since barriers and resizing exist)

…..appalling, you truly are scary

Most gimkit props have pretty precise hitboxes, so in which case it being hard to land on= it being small in width

thank the lord

I was mostly trying to, like, point out curtain details in game. I tested most of these props and if I stated they were unstable it ment they aren’t easy to land on.

Nice guide, try adding the iron poles too. Also, you can’t wikify anything before you’re a Tl3

That’s why I was asking if a TL3 could make it editable.

Us TL3’s can only make our own posts wikis…

Yeah, but they’re all gone :headstone: :wilted_flower: Jeffo is the only one and hasn’t been seen in 5 days.

This guide could be pretty helpful in some situations, but…

It’s an excellent 1st guide! Nice formatting, and it’s not a dupe.

Only Tl4s can do that

Wow, what happened to this place…Then again, I came back last week, I wasn’t suspended or anything, I was just bored of this place because of all the alt situations and stuff…but now TL4s are gone?

Dang it. Oh well, I’ll edit if needed.
