Problem With Zones And Disabling Gadgets

I set up a button that activated a zone for 5 seconds that is turned off at start of game. After 5 seconds the zone is deactivated.

The zone is set so you can’t fire gadgets in it. When you exit, you can fire again with your gadget.

The problem is that if I stand in the zone and can’t fire when the zone gets deactivated, I still can’t fire.

Layer another zone on top?

that’s a bug with gimkit in general, just use a barrier to stop players from firing, or give the players wapons after 5 seconds

No this is not an option for me

You could remove everyone’s gadgets, turn off the zone, then give them back.

You can make a barrier that’s only active for certain players. Set the active scope to player and activate it when you enter, deactivate when you leave the zone. And also deactivate it when the zone is deactivated. Just set the opacity to 0 and the outline off and it will work perfectly

Is your wiring wrong?

I guess just give the players gadgets after 5 seconds.

The thing is this:
When players touch a “can’t fire” zone, their status stays “can’t fire” until they touch a zone that they can fire in, I have been confused by this before, but this is how it is
So when you deactivate the “can’t fire” zone, also activate a zone that you can fire in on top of the previous zone, this way they can fire again
