How to make activatable powerups

I dont know how to make a powerup where if you hit a button on your screen, you can run faster for a few seconds,

Sprinting Mechanic

This guide will detect when the player wants to sprint and broadcast on “Activate Sprint” when the player presses a movement button twice. No pics due to GKC servers down.
