So, my player respawns, but it doens’t say the specific event “Player knocked out” so when I add the life cycle and connect it to the teleport it doesn’t work.

Hi, thank you, and yeah I have the life cycle thing and everything, but when the player actually gets knocked out it doesn’t go to the teleport. It just respawns at the normal respawn place.
oh I get it, so I think the character isn’t selected when you teleport, so the computer doesn’t know who to teleport. One way to fix this is to place a zone at the spawn and then have it activated by the lifecycle, and then have it send a channel to the teleport so when player enters the zone it teleports them to where you want them to be
But I want it to be only when they get knocked out or tagged (its cops and robbers) that they spawn to the teleport, so would it be the same thing?
Sorry if it sounds confusing, this is my first time making one of these.
oh I did a cops and robbers game before, what I did was that I had it so that when they are knocked out then their respawn point is set in jail, same thing as before the lifecycle sends a signal to the respawn point and then that is their set respawn point
Wait, but what if I have a spawn point that they start in, and I want to have a second one, only when they get tagged or knocked out though. (I have lasers in some places.)
and how do I set it so that it’s only when they are knocked out? Sorry for all the questions I’m new to this…
The questions are fine. I will guide you step by step
- take the lifecycle and set it to when the player is knocked out
- place a respawn point in jail.
- have the lifecycle send a channel. Like Jail time or something like that
- have the respawn point activate when something broadcasts on that channel
- Fine tune the thing, set it so only one team can activate it
- play test it so you know where the bugs are and what things went wrong

wait so how would i differenitate that? I have them knocked out by the lasers and it automatically respawns them but I thought that meant they were knocked out
