Pillar-Destruction-and-Health-Taken-Away Help

In the last part of my game, I want to make a system where you destroy a pillar and it will take away some of a sentry’s shield, but couldn’t figure out how to make it. Can someone help me with this?

well maybe his shield is sentries layered above him and damaging the pillar deletes 1 sentry at a time

I don’t believe this is possible in the way you are thinking. Sentries cannot take damage from lasers, only the player or other sentries. This would mean that once a pillar was destroyed it would temporarily activate a sentry on your team to shoot at the boss sentry once and then deactivate.

that would work, but i have a very high amount of memory and i need to cut down on memory costs. i was originally thinking that the sentry would have a pseudo-health system that would take away from the property, but i dont know how to implement that either (ok fine i do but im too lazy)

maybe make it so another sentry shoots it… I won’t know how though

Use items as you’re healthy. Make it - a certain amount of your item when prop destroyed and when the reaches zero end game

is there a way to do this without sentries? also i forgot how to do the thing i said on reply 4

I don’t think there is a way to subtract sentry health/shield without damaging them
