The game is going to have many different mini-games and you can choose a certain set of the backgrounds you want for it. What he says he want for the thumbnail is totally up to you to decide how cool or nice it looks but ensure to add a couple mini-games from this list here:

Why?
This is like wishing to keep rich people rich and poor people poor, except with game attraction.
A good custom thumbnail draws in viewers, while as having a meme or a low quality thumbnail keeps value players away and lowers opinion on your game.
By wishing to disallow thumbnails on the forums, youāre quite literally wishing that people who donāt know how to make thumbnails to have negative game attraction because they have to resort to low quality images.

Whatās sad is that our human brains think thumbnails attract your interest into playing that game, so such as the thumbnails that are not allowed in discovery, multiple kids (who i feel bad for their parents because their kids kept begging them for season ticket) break the rules and our brain looks at the thumbnail, and when they see it, our brain is like āOh! Letās check this game out!ā
Itās like the kids are masterminds. The only way to get more plays is to make sure the thumbnail breaks the thumbnail discovery rules, and more people will get interest in it, to the point where that game becomes trending. What they will not notice is that they will get their account deleted, but their accounts are still standing. Itās not because of āGIMKIT ISNāT MODERATING PERFECTLY!!!ā, itās because we donāt report much, which makes sense, because according to Karl:

And obviously, iām part of that 99%. Pretty sure everyone (but some people) are.
So the only way is to ignore that game, even if your brain is forcing you to play that game.

I guess the point is that this forum is for discussing the actual creation of games, not thumbnails for them; thumbnails can be conceived somewhere else, and they arenāt even a big part of the game. They also happen to cause a lot of discord and arguments. If thumbnails werenāt allowed, the forum would be more focused on creative help.
On the other hand, thumbnails are something that many people canāt make very easily, and there isnāt a dedicated space for commissioning them. By adding a separate space in the forums, there is less clutter where people need help on their games.
Anyways, weāre kinda steering into off-topic territory so Iām not going to say any more

I think itād be fair to compare Gim Dungeon: Immersion and one of the copy paste meme games on trending.
Although GD (Gim Dungeon) didnāt gain instant popularity, it rised as people acknowledged itās gameplay and itās sleek thumbnail.
No one says anything about any of the trending maps, because theyāre low quality and have clickbait meme thumbnails.
You could argue that the Meme map gets views short-term, but itāll never be recognized as much as a map like GD.
True, since thereās no point in trending anymore. Itās like a shelf for kids. The actual good games stay in Community Picks (too bad more actual good games didnāt reach into community picks or get plays they would have expected.)
