So I usually don’t make posts like “I nEeD hElP cHoOsInG a–[1] GaMe To MaKe” but I am really stuck between a rock and a hard place. So last week I was working with NotYoyo and making a map for this RPG game I planned to make. But then I started building a turn-based RPG game elsewhere[2] and didn’t want to make a second one. So i was also thinking of doing this Among Us x Murder Myste[3]ry game.
Basically there are 3 teams:
Good Guys
Bad Guys
Neutral (Only out for themselves)
Each team has different roles and each team has their own ways to win:
Good Guys:
Streak Saver (Maybe needs a better name; With every knockout they get stronger and faster, but when THEY get KOed they lose all their progress.
Neutral:
Time Manipulator
Spy
Jester
–
Mechanics:
Secret Note: You can send private messages between players
Team Chat: You can chat with your team
Voting: Try to vote out the Assassin every five minutes
Base renforce: Builders can reinforce their base
Now what I actually need help with:
1. Which game should I make?
Among Us x Murd3r Mystery
RPG
0voters
If you chose Murder Mystery do you have any role or mechanic ideas?
Also, I know it was last week but my goes out to anyone affected by Hurricane Milton in Florida!
Explodes cause battle against a true hero started on my playlist ↩︎
For roles, I choose the ones that are feasible (not 100% sure if they did lol) to create in GKC, and here we go!
Ideas for Good guys:
No Special Ability(s):
Villagers (hahar-)
With Special Ability(s):
Medic (Could privately protect a player per round, the shield could prevent this player from getting killed)
Engineer (Could use devices exclusively that are scattered around the map)
Archer (Be able to eliminate one player per round, try not to eliminate your teammate muahaha)
Detective (Could see if a certain player is a “Bad guy” per round, notice that the neutral team still count as “Good guy” in their view)
Ice Magician (can froze a nearby player 15 seconds)
Celebrity (All players will receive on a special notification when they got killed)
Role Swapper (Hence the name)
Athlete (Could use infinite temporary speed boost with cooldown, they can also use this ability to prove their role)
Warrior (They have one chance to eliminate a player)
Camouflagers (Could hide in the exclusive hiding spots 20 seconds per round, they could be potential witness if they are lucky enough to get to see an brutal assassination)
Ideas for Bad guys:
Assassin (Default bad guy, could eliminate a player per round)
Ghost (Can’t be killed by any forces, except for voting. Could eliminate a player per round)
The evil spirit (Could summon deadly sentries through out the map. Could eliminate a player per round)
Traitor (They can’t eliminate other players, but they are still count as a “Bad guy” and have to help their teammates to win)
Werewolf (If voted out, they could take a random player on the other team with them and they will both get eliminated. Could eliminate one player per round)
Demon (They could use two votes per round during the voting period. Could eliminate one player per round)
Shadow Magician (Could kill a random player per round by overlay instead of short-ranged assassination)
Dark Wizard (could grant an upgrade for their teammate. Couldn’t eliminate other players) Ban Speedrunners (create chaos and flag every post they see)
Ideas for the Neutral Team:
Psychopath (Wins when terminated or voted out)
Reaper (Could eliminate one player per round, their goal is to eradicate everyone on the “Bad Guys” team)
The Doll (If all the “good guys” or “bad guys” were eliminated and this player is still surviving, The Doll wins)
That’s all I got now :)
feel free to tell me if you have any advices or improvements!
Yes, one personal project in Gamemaker Studios 2[1] and one in Gimkit[2].
Because I was already building an RPG as a personal project.
Closed the poll now.
Probably gonna be replaced by Task Master (The people who complete the tasks)
Using!
Like the Jester.
The current method for the bad guys claiming the good guy base is they have to take a flag from their base to the good guys base… What do you all think?
Right now there are 4 properties:
Team (Player Text; stores team name)
Role Name (Player Text; stores role name)
Role (Global Boolean; stores weather an role has already been give)
Team # (Global Number; stores amount of player per team)
