hello! yea i need some ideas in general i want it to be friendly to me as as a new gimkit user.
Welcome to the forums! If you need help with the idea, the plot could be where a robot infestation could attack a planet or if you need help with the RPG system you can use a game overlay to make it turn based. If you need further information, I can post a basic tutorial for this!
I already have the idea basically its a enchanted area which many cant enter I’m making it chapter based needing a item to enter the next area I don’t really know what I’m doing so far so its been kinda hard lol.
Do you need certain “classes” or roles or smth?

First of all, Welcome to the forums!
If you need help with devices or block coding, I’m your guy. I can be a little bit of a nerd when it comes to stuff like that!

Just place a barrier around the area you want to enter, like this. (Barriers can be found in the “devices” list) like so. You also can change the size by clicking the button I have outlined in red. You ALSO can make it a circle in the “Appearance” settings when you click on it. You ALSO can make it invisible in the “Apperance” settings.
Make a vending machine, then set it to “Transmit on channel”, then in the settings add the kind of item you want them to have (for the purpose of the example I’ll make sure it’s a green key).
connect the two with a wire and make it so when the purchase is successful it deactivates the barrier.
If you want the player to keep the item after they use it (since using a vending machine will take the item away) you can connect the barrier to an item granter (using wires), and set it so when the barrier is deactivated the item granter will bring the item back into the player’s inventory. (I normally would use a checker for this as it would save the extra step of adding the item granter if you wanted them to keep the item after using it, but checkers have been extremely buggy for me lately and I don’t know why.)

Make sure to have quests I guess…uhm, I guess interactive npcs…and uh- there’s some good guides on here that can help I suppose.
Spawn a sentry (Also found in the devices area) and click on it to activate its settings)
You can edit the Sentry’s health and shield if you want to give it extra health as a boss
Here to change it’s appearance.
And here to edit it’s respawn settings
In THIS area you can add it to drop whatever you want the item to be (again, for example purposes I’ll make it a green key)
There you go!
I’d also recommend checking out the Gimkit Documentation Page for more information on devices, also you can check out the Community Made Guides for more ideas for your RPG, I’m sure there’s a guide out there that can help with interactive NPC’s and other such mechanics. I’m actually working on one right now that should come out soon.
and uh sorry for so many questions, what about quests as i feel like those would be very important
make it so when you knock down the sentry that it will drop you something and then when you go back to that quest giver boy the thing will give you your reward. (and it can be the same reward everytime.)

LITTERALY THE SENTRY DROPS PART THAT LIL BRO HERMES WAS TALKING ABOUT. (oh yeah I forgot to tell you that you need to have a vending machine that cant be visible in game.
