Need help for lore!

I found 99% of gimkit lore but I really want to have lore in my one games. I have no ideas for what to add. Can you help me???

It is a old town that is destroyed haunted and a secret. You are going on a walk when you discover a secret passage that leads to the town.

Hmm, maybe the town is haunted by GHOSTS if ur an OG you know how much I love ghosts

You could add moving footsteps throughout the town that the player can unlock a secret quest if they follow. Possibly the ghosts are infecting the rest of the world, trying to haunt everything? The town fell because someone committed an unforgivable sin in the world of gims (idk kill a gimfish or smth) and GimGod then decided to wipe away the people as if they were never there >:3

And slowly the wipe will spread unless the player stops it (sorry if this is too dark or smth I’m not good at lore)

Aight let me cook–
Ars cooking sequence begins here

Once upon a time, far far away in the land of fantastical things (this is how I always begin a story I have two younger siblings and a lot of experience) there was a village that seemed like any other on the outside. But a great evil lurked in its heart, and that was the death of a Gimfish, one of the fabled protectors of the land. Many centuries ago, a poor fisherman was overcome with greed and envy, seeing the god of the seas flourishing with wealth. He decided to capture one of GimGod’s loyal protectors and kill it to prove his power to the gods. However, once GimGod heard of this, he was furious and sent one of his servants to the hallowed cove of The Shadeborn, the revered, feared, and all-powerful God of the shadows. The Shadeborn created his worst curse yet–a curse known only in the circle of the immortals as “The Wipe”. The Wipe instantly fell upon the village, casting a spell of thick silence that neither the birds nor the foxes dared to breathe in. One by one, the Wipe erased each villager one by one until it reached the fisherman. And ever since that day, the fisherman has been wandering through the broken remains of the village he called home. Be careful what you don’t believe in. Because once you see his dusty footsteps shifting in the nonexistent breeze… you might doubt everything they told you about ghosts.

You are a ghost hunter, wandering around the abandoned but once lively town called gimtopia. People report of so called “ghosts” while exploring the town, you want to uncover these myths to see if they are real, but you keep questioning your desicion. Finally, you decide to head into gimtopia, you also brought a friend along named Ted, an expert in ghost hunting. After you head in, you dont seem to notice anything, only the occasional whistling wind and rustling leaves, but after the day, you start to question your sanity, as voices keep calling upon you to come outside, you fight but you cant stand it. At 1am, you wake up Ted to come along so you dont get captured by whatevers lurking in the dark. At first, you only feel a tug on your shirt, but the more you wander, the more you start questioning if you’re going insane or its just your mind. You dont hear Ted anymore, so you look back and notice that he’s gone. You try to run back to the area where you last saw him, but a large, black, nonexpressional gim blocks your way,. At this point, you cant take it anymore and drive back to home while Ted is still missing, still out there, somewhere. After a year, you decide to be brave and drive back to gimtopia, this time, alone. This time, you wont make it back to your car. You pick a cabin, lay down your sleeping bag and sleep. 2am rolls around and you hear a knock on the cabin door, you hear a voice that gives you chills. Its Ted, but he sounds., different than last time. His voice is raspy, almost like he hasnt ate or drank for 5 years. You decide to not open the door, as you think there’s a mimic out there. BANG BANG BANG Someone, or something keeps trying to get in, you hide in the closet as the door breaks open, its the same black gim that blocked your path during last visit, however, this time, its looking for vengeance.

and then what happened?

… I am going to add on to your story … You wake up, your tent mates are gone they left the tent 6 hours ago. By now you know that they are gone. Four unfinished meals are left by the campfire, off in the distance you can see the town limits of gimtopia, a crazed gim runs from the city towards camp. You attempt to greet him but he ignores you and jumps into your car, strangely enough the gim had the keys to Ted’s car, the light of the sun beats down on you as your boots crunch through the rocky gravel. Without the car you need to find supplies that will last you long enough to survive. Eventually you reach a cabin that looks like it could harbor life, then a shadow of a gim appears, his hands reaching for you. You suddenly snap to attention, the cabin door, unopened you notice. You push open the door and see the outline of a gim, its face a pale white. You notice a small insignia on his jacket. The Ghosthunters insigna. This is the body of Ted. Spooked you run out of the cabin but the door suddenly closes, you bang on the door, BANG BANG BANG finally the door crumbles, you stand over a terrified gim hiding in the closet you try to get close then :collision: a flash of light knocks you back then you get up, darkness, you touch your eyes and realize your eyes aren’t closed this is pitch black darkness. You would give anything to see the spaceship night light that your mother always plugged in for you. But nothing, whatever caused this darkness was there, breathing. At first a heavy panting, then it soffened into a light breathing, at first thoughts raced who is breathing? Is it me? Why? then a voice, a chalky voice fading but it was too raspy to fade “you weren’t there.”
“What do you mean?” You call back instinctivly
“they were a party of two not three”
“Huh?”
“you aren’t a part of them”
“No I am” That sudden confidence faded, as soon as the Voice opposed it, it faded
“You remember Ted?” the Voice started again angry now
“Yes I do”
“what got him?”
A chill ran though your body and words formed and spoke clearly now
“ME!”
A flash of light blinds you. The light fades the horror fades, only clarity remains. You watch the two ghost hunters closely trailing behind them, lurking… then when they feel safe (you can sense those feelings now) you strike grabbing the experienced one and throw him into the bunker, hidden under the cabin. You pull the soul away from Ted, his
spectral image gets up. A voice deep inside your head tells you “WE WILL WAIT”.

okay so the LOOOOOORE of the story is that there is a creature that can watch certain points in time and track gims down, and mentally drain them, but this creature didn’t want to do these things it is trapped by a ghost that tells it what to do. A lot to unpack I know…

You are a gim. Nothing special. Just a normal gim living in the city. Recently, you’ve been struggling to make money, so you took up a job as a ‘paranormal investigator’ for a popular television show called ‘Ghost Hunters: Real Stories of Real Hautings’. You’ve watched this show a few times, but you’ve never really believed in all of these ‘ghosts’ or ‘ghouls’ or ‘things that go bump in the night’, but this job pays a lot, and you only have come in once or twice a month, so that leaves you with plenty of spare time. Your latest ‘case’ involves exploring an abandoned town nearby. You pack ‘ghost hunter kit’ and cameraman and drive there in your embarrassing ‘Ghost Hunters’ Van. By the time you have arrived, the sun has just disappeared past the horizon, so you grab a flashlight and go look for signs of ‘paranormal activity’. Really, you just look for the ‘clues’ your boss has left here so that you can ‘discover’ evidence of ‘ghosts’. While searching an abandoned supermarket, you heard footsteps outside. At first you thought that it was your cameraman, but then you realized that your cameraman was hiding behind a shelf, trembling in t3rror. Then, with a squeak, the door opened, and a monstrously large creature thumped in. It’s hand seemingly made of shadow, crept in and grabbed your cameraman from behind the shelf. You could do nothing but stand there, frozen in terr0r, as your cameraman was dragged, writhing and screaming, into the maw of the be@st. With a loud CRUNCH, he was gone. The be@st then turned toward you, smiling, then reached it’s hand toward you. You grab a plastic kn!fe from the counter and jab it hard into it’s hand. The be@st howled in pain, giving you time to escape through the back door. You could here the be@st howling and screeching, it’s thundering footsteps fast approaching. As you reach your van, you’re startled to see the be@st looming over the van. It grabbed the van and threw it, landing with a resounding thud on some random house. The be@st then turned to you and reached it’s hand and grabbed you. As you struggle to escape it’s strong grip, you too, meet your demise in it’s jaws. CRUNCH, no more gim…

Isn’t that a bit dark?

To be fair, I’ve seen darker lore. Take this for example. read the end

That is dark, but digitized dark lore is more scary than normal dark lore, trust me, when a digital monster watches you through the screen seeing your every move and analyzing your search history. Trust me that is much more scary than a forest monster stalking you and watching you sleep. [(Don’t actually trust me, however you paint your lore is how scary it is)I have been desensitized]
