I need some advice on how to work with the settings on a map I will be making in the future (I have run out of slots and am waiting until Creative platforming is out for everybody before I do anything about it). The map is an escape-style game in which players are trapped separately and have to find each other to battle their way out. However, I have one main problem - it needs to be collaborative, but all players must be on their own separate teams so that they can have separate spawn pads. If I set the mode to free-for-all, players will be able to attack each other, but that would ruin the game! I seem to remember there being a setting in Game Settings that allows you to control whether or not players can attack each other - am I right about this and if not, how else could I sort it out?
idea: make a zone that spans the entire map and change zone settings so they cant use devices
also maybe you could keep everyone on the same team but use wiring or something to select spawn places?
i can work on it if you want
There’s an option in team settings that allows the game to have specific teams or for the game to be co-op-based, as seen below
Although the team amount is for how many teams you want there to be, but I think through some intense channeling and setting properties it could be done
you could first have them be on different teams then just turn them all onto the same one after the game starts, i have no idea how platformer works though
great idea but I need them to be able to attack sentries… Wish I could do that!
Luckily it’s going to be top-down!
I have found out that you definitely can set it so that players can’t damage each other, thank you for your ideas!
