[ 🤏 Mini-guide ] - Pingless quotes

If you want to “quote” a user, but you don’t want them to be quote-pinged or link-pinged, do the following:

 1. Create a quote like this:
I think giving massive amounts of likes def appreciated (just got higher love today)
1. Change
to
or else it will link ping them.
I think giving massive amounts of likes def appreciated (just got higher love today)
1. You successfully created a quote, and the user won’t be pinged.

Great guide!

Update: I tested this myself, and saw that it pings the user still.

Instead, use
then the contents of the post you want to include then
or else the user is automatically going to be link-pinged.

If you want to “quote” a user, but you don’t want them to be quote-pinged or link-pinged, do the following:
Versus if I do it with blockquotes

If you want to “quote” a user, but you don’t want them to be quote-pinged or link-pinged, do the following:

Raw Version:

> If you want to “quote” a user, but you don’t want them to be quote-pinged or link-pinged, do the following:

As you can see, no difference.
