Hello! I am back with ANOTHER guide for everyone! you might have read the title (or not, I don’t judge) and said “Wait? GKC doesn’t have sound effects!” but that’s where you would be VERY wrong, say hello to my best friend, the vending machine :D
basically when you purchase an item from the vending machine device it will make a sound! and we can automatically purchase something! ready to learn how to do this? Well I am :3
Materials
Vending machine
something to brodcast (here we will simply use a lifecycle for testing.)
SFX in GKC, YIPPE!!!!
First place a life cycle and make it so that its event is game start, when this event occurs brodcast a message on “SFX” then we place a good ol vending machine!
set it so that when you purchase from it, it brodcast on a channel, but don’t put anything there as we don’t need anything there. then set the item required to be ANY ITEM IN THE GAME! it doesn’t even matter which one. and set the required amount to be 0. Wait what? you can do that? Why yes you can! and now here comes the fun bit, go to the channels and look for “Attempt to Purchase when recieving on” it should look like this
if it doesn’t look like this then your Gimkit isn’t gimkitting.
and put in that channel input our “SFX” channel we made earlier Yippe!
Now test to make sure it works! tadaaaaa! we have now proven that GKC does have SFX that you can use!
Now you can use this sound whenever you please! now if someone asks if SFX’s are possible in GKC just say that custom sounds aren’t possible yet however you can use the vending machine sound.
