Memory Efficient Trigger Keyboard 🤯 (Only takes 1% memory)

what’s the point of a reusable bump? I think you need to keep it open for anyone that has questions

The point is that the topic doesn’t get cluttered by people just saying “bump” instead of people actually asking questions.

there’s a reason I allow people to ask questions under the line below

how is you find this out?(i’m guessing you were resarching stuff._.)(no I’m not bumbing this)
I simply just wondered if a t9 keyboard was possible, and knew that if it was it would most likely be very memory efficient. - fleet

Now we wait for a sound device. With that device, we can create sounds by the clicking of the keyboard, making a nice, satisfying click that will be able to indicate you clicked the button so you won’t think you did, but actually missed, but because you aren’t actually properly paying attention, you ended up having to restart your entire progress of messing with the keyboard.

I uh…I definitely…I definitely don’t relate to this…

sad sniffle

This looks great!

I bet we could try to make some sort of chat mechanic using the new popup settings or the dialogue device!

So, I’ve got a bit of a problem. I tried making it, but it doesn’t work. Also, the “What You’ll Need” section says it uses 3 properties, but it ends up using 4: Number_Text_To_Use, Number_Letter_To_Use, Waiting_Until_Number_Selected, and Text. Maybe that’s what’s wrong? idk.

This is what it turned out being. (Don’t mind the lifecycle and the trigger wired to it, that’s for updating the text.)

@Fleet could you please explain what’s wrong with this?

how exactly isnt it working? explain, does it just not combine the text or something else?

So, 1 out of two things could be happening on my end.

  1. the text just doesn’t show up on the text device, or…
  2. The channels/properties got messed up and the text isn’t getting formed at all.
But in either case, what do I do?

if its the text, make sure you have the text property brodcast on a channel when it changes value, then make block code in the text device that when it recieves on that channel it sets the text to Get property “text”

Ohhhh. I was using a lifecycle and a trigger for that.

Nope. Still this. I’m gonna redo it and see if it’s just the guide or it’s me.

did you step on the triggers?
you need to do that in order to input letters.
