Welcome to a Guide about something I found out: making a player selector using player IDs
Now onto the guide
Firstly, make your player ID’s:
I’ve used player ID’s in 2 of my guides, and I think it is now time to make a guide on it.
Concept
Player ID’s are a way to numerically identify players. I have 2 types: iterative and unique. Iterative ones are a bit more “expensive” in that they use slightly more memory. This uses the order that the players joined to use player ID’s. It needs a closed spawn area to work properly. Iterative player ID’s can be used to go scroll or iterate through the entire server to see who to act on. However,…
Secondly, create a property that is named “SelectedPlayerID” which is a number and is on “global” scope.
Now get a relay in which the audience is all players.
Then, get a trigger and wire the relay to the trigger:
Relay trigger > Trigger
And now, for everyone’s favorite part in making GKC maps: Coding!
Create a block in the trigger with this code:
Now whatever is in the condition block could be anything!
Channel blocks, property blocks, etc.
You can also make a property that stores information on the selected player!
Also, make sure that the relay can be activated,
you can play around with the “SelectedPlayerID” property to see what players it will get.
Here is the finished product:

uhhh theres already a guide about this ;-;
This guide was originally for voting, so it also has a vote counting system in it.
This guide uses Iterative Player ID’s to iterate through the entire server for the player. This uses some concepts from my previous guide on this as well. This method, however, lets you have a faster voting experience, and will help you have a better voting experience in total. I also revised it to allow for ties. I suggest that you don’t try to do this all in one sitting, but rather over a few days.

But my guide still shows you how to make the player selector. I also don’t see a single input mechanism for the player to select another player.
