So, I’ve mastered the art of making the Life steal system of “if you get knocked out you lose a heart, if you have no hearts to lose you get knocked out for good,” but I’m wanting the amount of “hearts” you have to effect the amount of health you have when you spawn in. I have a general idea of how that’ll work, but that’ll take a while. Any ideas, fellas?
Properties
If player has 5 hearts, spawn with 100 hp (if that’s your max hp)
If player has 4 hearts, they spawn with 80
So basically max hp minus the amount of hp you want them to start with, and that’s how much you need to add to the damager device when they respawn, so when players knocked out, take away that hp. Try that, if that doesn’t work, put a trigger in between them.

maybe when you lose a heart somehow it will transmit on a channel that when you respawn a damager gives you - ??? health, the way we do that is the question. I would need to know more about the system

Well, actually here’s a conundrum. What if the player spawns in at 10 HP, and I’m taking away 10 HP? and also, if I have, say, 100 HP, and I get knocked out, then I should spawn in with 90 HP, right? But because the default HP is 100HP, if I get knocked out again then I’ll have 90 HP again…
they should spawn with max hp
like every time you get knocked, you respawn with max hp
so that should never happen, player spawning in with 10.
We are taking away from the max hp, to make it the current hp you need
