You can copy and paste italics from somewhere else, maybe type it in a Word document or in Glyphy.

I’d rather not. 30% of the map memory is already somehow gone… Can I just put html tags in the content instead?

You can use <i> and </i> tags in the text.
Edit: It might not work with popups.

Ok. So, basically, there were a bunch of dragons in this land who lived peacefully and content. Then, a group of pilgrims washed up on the beach. They ask for space to live, dragons say yes, and like in the real new world, the colonizers take over the entire land. Only two dragons are left, and they both go into hiding. One of them is scared of the colonizers because they would want all the land to themselves, and the other is furious at the colonizers for KOing[1] all her friends. As recompense, she blocked off all exits to the outside world, and the only way in is to wash up on a beach. That’s basically the main plot of aJiT: defeat the lightning dragon so you can leave the island[2] and go back home. However, the part that I have open only requires being friendly, and knowing how to sail a boat.
