Is there a way to make a friendly sentry?

Like, in the new mining mode, you can talk to people and I’m wondering how to do that.

What do you mean? A sentry who won’t attack you?
If you’re using teams, make the sentry on your team so it won’t attack you.
Or if you don’t want it to attack anybody, use a barrier in front of it.

Then, using buttons, make it so that when it is pressed, it opens a popup.
That’s the best we can do for now…

The npcs in the new mining game mode have more than one option when you talk to them, so I’m guessing the npcs may be using an unreleased device, you can still replicate it with pop-up chaining, albeit much worse.

But, yes, talking sentries are probably a unreleased device. This is what you can do for now.

if there are no teams in your game, you can put the sentry on team 1 and it will not attack anybody

Okay back on topic, the game I have set up everybody is on one team and the sentry’s that i’m putting down doesn’t give me that option.
