I'm trying to make fly fishing simulator (plz help)

so I want to make a game about fishing that is actually good (no offense fishtopia) my goal is to make and immersive fishing simulator

this is what I need to figure out how to make

how do I make this

a bar that is yellow but has a small green section that moves up and down the bar, there is and arrow pointing to the top of the bar and if you click the button while the green is one the arrow you make a successful cast

reeling

when the player clicks a button the line gets shorter

"fly

the player can use different lures they can switch between lures using a pop-up menu that they can open using a game overlay

strikes

when a fish bites it goes to a cutscene where the fish eats the lure that the player is currently using

Sorry for the wait in an awnser…Hmm…This is no doubt possible…however somewhat difficult and memory heavy…
I can attempt to quick create and explain different possible ways to do it..however I might fail or take a while…
though a more advanced gimkit builder might be your better hope, I’m kinda rusty but am decent at animations and randomizers so I’ll see what I can do but not right away but Hopefully later tonight

I’d maybe try to use text for the bar if theres not too many fishing spots, but if you can fish anywhere near water then the best way might be a screen popup but that wont look as good unfortunately
Also, for the button press theres no way to detect button presses other than wasd/the arrow keys using zones surrounding the player so you’d have to use a game overlay or call to action (correct me if im wrong please)

The lure selecting screen isnt too complicated however.

You can link a bunch of popups over eachother like this


and then have each popup be a different lure
Make each one transmit on its own channel when selected

and then within a coding block for their respective channel change a property called something like “lure” and either have it be a number property (and lure has its own number) or a text property and just put the name in. Make sure the property is player though


if you want there might be a way to do this with counters (for the numbering thing) but im not entirely sure how to do it right now

What do you want for the reeling system exactly? you werent too clear on that
I’ll be able to help more if you can maybe explain what needs to happen for the player to get or lose the fish
does the bar have to be super small to catch the fish?
are we trying to keep the bar in one place?
whats the point of the arrow?

the player 4 game overlays rotate around the screen three say reel one says lose fish if you click the wrong one it ends the reeling mechanism because the fish gets away

Okay, so you want to be able to catch the fish when you activate the overlay that the arrow is pointing to?

Okay, so why dont you make a button on the overlays that says something like “Now!” and if the arrow is the same position as it, it catches the fish
