Create an abandoned look to your game. For example, you could add rundown houses, overgrown plants, electric wires everywhere…

I would add moss I think that’s what the green puddles are called?, broken glass, and maybe even a bunch of vines (to give it an overgrown look).
Could you perhaps send screenshots of your game (it can help us determine what you need/already have)

Use the Frankengim, or any other creepy-enough gim, if it’s a platformer, add abandoned buildings you can explore, and that’s all i’ve got
