DO I HEAR LORE?

Descent Into Depression
The game opens with a zap out between two rival gangs sponsored by Echo and Vortex outside of the Blastball championship in the United Gimdom. You are a Vortex combat specialist, and this is the last mission before your squad retires. As you infil into what was supposed to be an easy hit and run, you see your teammates get razed to the ground by an Echo ambush from what you all had assumed were the deserted stands of the Gimchester United stadium. As you watch their bodies fall to the ground and begin to spill ¨ketchup¨, you glimpse a strange hooded figure emerge from the Echo squad, and they throw a cloudy red vial at you, knocking you unconscious. When you wake, you find yourself in aa void, with memories of past mission swirling around you, forming a dreamscape before your eyes. As you begin to relive all the old memories of your squad, you begin to see strange signs of some sort of…d3cay. Strange black and red colors where they shouldn’t be, eyes watching from the shadows, occasionally attacking you. And then you begin to notice things about your team you didn’t when initially living these moments. Sarcastic remarks expressing a lack of confidence in your leadership, jibes about your incompetence. As you begin to question your relationships, you see their spectres appear in front of you, blaming your for their oofing, before they combine into a bat d3mon, who attempts to steal your soul. WILL WRITE MORE MONDAY, HAVE TO GO.

for jumpscares:

random trigger anywhere that changes the camera point that focuses on something scary using barrier art (like a face of a dem0n lol)

ghostume the npc appearing literally everywhere you walk but disappears after a few seconds

flashing red lights on a dark background

that smile jumpscare face the  but scarier

eyes

gradient from light to dark place

something chasing you but you can’t stop and you don’t know what it is it’s just something dark

creepy notifications with flickering lights

How about a main k1ller? Kinda basic though.

the dem0n (black or red or both)
made from barrier art and I don’t know how to make it move but it does

I think a good theme for the game is a creepypasta. Maybe called the stich?
LOOOOOOOOOOORE: The stich is a creepypasta that is a hivemind named STICH. The hivemind takes influence from other creepypastas and adds the creepypasta into its data collection. Then, at random, it will playback that creepypasta with you in it.
Pro: This could make it so that every time you play, you get a different experience. It also allows for some extra scares from trauma or something.
Con: There is no con.

Scary things you can add:
Limited vision
Dark environment
When you exit a room, you go into a different room but with same appearance
Corpses of gims
Randomly manifesting sentries for ghosts
Puzzles!
Put ketchup all over the place
Someplace there will be eyes behind walls looking at you

uhhh, you sure about that? It seems a little violent for a gimkit game, keep in mind that gimkit is designed for ages 6 +, meaning kindergarteners could play your game. If i were a 6 yo kid, I would not want to see this, even if it is cartoony.

Some people are also Hemophobic (With an E, not an O!)(meaning they have a fear of blood. Like me.) so I wouldn’t reccomend this.

What if you just… forgot?

Every twist and turn is a new way… except it isn’t, right? Some things might barely change, but it changes just enough to where you’ll notice it, or not. However, since it’s such a small change, you’ll keep second guessing if the change ever happened at all. These changes happen like 1 every 2 minutes and should be a bit hard to notice without close inspection.
(I got this idea from JonnyRazer so thanks to that guy)

I won’t say what I read, but I did read this wrong :sob:
But yeah, that is a great point. Blood isn’t very family friendly in the first place, and yeah, I’m a bit uncomfortable when it comes to blood too. Maybe not a full on fear, but it’s not a pretty sight.

Well good point… but it is pretty common practice for horror games, and i simply cannot imagine a 6+ horror game
