Ideas for Thimble Point

right then, lets get started.
SO. I am making a BRAND-NEW game called Thimble Point, and its essentially a Dandy’s World style, battle-royale-esque competition. You can either play solo or multiplayer. What you do is run around and try to find control panels, fix them, and when all five are fixed, be in the top (decreasing qualification spot number here) to win the round.

What i’m looking for:
Mechanic ideas
Different variations of fixing the control panels
Shop items - Don’t need any more
NPCs (Maybe)

speed should deffinetly be a shop item

Shop Items:

  • Free Pass – Fix one less machine for one round only
  • Glue Bomb – Slow a random player’s speed for a certain amount of time
  • Sabotage – Make one machine another player fixes take longer to finish
  • Glitter Explosion – A rival player’s screen fills with glitter, making it impossible to see for a certain amount of time.

Control panel variations,

  • rapid click, you have to click a popup call to action like 30 times.
  • timed click, you have to click it whenever it lights up 5 times.
  • patience, like the upload task from amogus, but it randomly stops and you have to hit it with a gadget to get it to keep going.

NPCs

There should be many NPC’s like- ones that give you exclusive items if you complete quests.
Or a permanent boost like 1.5x speed. Or maybe even currency?

Other NPCs could be something like giving you a extremely special ability- and the NPC quest could be completed once-

Mechanics

Every something rounds- a special shopkeeper should appear and sell exotic items or abilities- These abilities could have easier Control Panel Variation, or whatever is exotic.

The top 3 winners of every round should also get a bonus, like more money for the next round, speed.

There should be a Control Panel Race- So 2+ players could be finishing one at the same time, but if 1 player finishes before them they “win”
