I make horror games. Well, I mean, that’s what I try to do. Besides Urban nightmares, which I just finished, nothing I’ve made is scary. I am now working on Phobia. So far, you spend the night in a creepy cabin in the woods, a monster visits you while you sleep, and then you get lost in the forest. In broad daylight. That’s where I want something scary to happen, I just don’t know what. Thanks!
@Fireball then count me out of this
I read that, but none of it really works for me.
use something in the walls from OMORI.
it is a creepy grinning face with 3 hands to horizontal ways <—>
…There are no walls.
I want it to do something with the monster in the bedroom. (Shadeborn)
something in the walls but in the bedroom
…Hmmm. What do you mean by that?
make it under the bed and hands coming out and the smile. use zappy’s animation to make it go up and down every 2s
Try using alpha 0.70 gray barriers for creepy, ominous lighting. Mood is an essential part of horror games.
Also make camera views for some areas to increase the theme, also camera points for jump scares and such
The point of this section is the catch you off guard. It occurs in the middle of the day.
Ah. Still, a light gray shading could still work well in daylight, you could just tone down the alpha.
…I think gray would ruin that.
Okay, that’s fine. Really clinging to the creepy lighting here, but you could use it in the creepy cabin.
make everything saturated, then a jumpscare
have something in the walls filicker
What do you mean by that?
You should summon Scary_Friend for this
It’s in his name
