I need some community feedback on some things I have on my mind for my game

Okay, so my questions that I need to ask is:

  1. How many players should my multiplayer game be intended for?
  2. How big should the maps be?
  3. Should I add an in-game quick chat system?
  4. Should I add a lot of secret things in my game?
  5. Should I make multiple versions of my game if I have many ideas but can’t fit them all into one map?

Feel free to ask me anything about my game if you need any information about it

this might have ideas… (not to be the person who self promotes buttt)

slow down, what’s your game about? whats the goal? what’s the point? what’s the name?

The name of my game is Awakening Dawn, based off of Daybreak 2, which is based off of Dead By Daylight.

There are 2 goals in the game depending on what role you get: For Survivors, Repair the generators and escape. For the K!llers, “EGH” the Survivors to stop them from escaping.

the game should be made for teams, lets say 4v4? the maps should be like a medium size, to make it kinda easy and hard. you should make it so a pop-up saying “one generator down Whatever number left of the generators”

  1. 4 players
  2. fairly big
  3. probably not could use a lot of memory
  4. ABSOLUTELY yes if you don’t have any ideas add me as a secret Easter egg
  5. if you want to make a series of games you should add like chapters like the first game is chapter 1

My game is set up for a 1 vs The Rest type of game

oh, wouldnt that be kinda unfair, unless that one player (im gussesing the zombie) has some advantages like fast walk?

yep, the person who will try to “EGH” the others will have a naturally faster walk speed

Maybe at almost the end of the game spawn both teams and the survivors must go to the door with obsticals in the way while the enemy is chasing them

A squad of 4 people, and if wanted more people. Like intended for 4 but 10+ players can play in a single game.

150 meters by 150 meter square. Use waypoints to help.

No. Mostly when you play it’s with friends in school. But if not, discord has vc. But no, not worth it as maybe 10% of your audience will find it useful.

Yeah, let them search. It’s always fun to try to find secret games!

Go for it! If you believe it’s really good then you can. A sequel would be awesome.

What’s your game about though? Just curious.

  1. 2-8 players
  2. depends on player size
  3. chat is complex and takes up space
  4. you can if you want, but it may be complex
  5. if you want variance in your game, sure
