Lore:
Many years ago, in the early days of gim colonialism, a gim named Farmer Joe lived on a peaceful vineyard out in the country. All was peaceful until one day, a gim, dressed fancily, as for a party, showed up with a document saying that Joe’s land grant had expired and that the mayor was going to seize his vineyard the next day and that Joe had better pack because anything left on the property by the time he returns would become property of the government. The next day, the government showed up to claim the property and what was left on it. But there wasn’t anything. Farmer Joe had somehow transported every vine, every brick, everything that was on the property that Joe owned had somehow disappeared with Joe to wherever he had gone. All that was left, was a single bunch of grapes.
Many years passed, and once again, the state showed up to Joe’s vineyard with a certificate and an order to pack up everything. And once again, Joe had packed up everything and all that was left was a single bunch of grapes. This happens many, many more times. The state always shows up to kick Joe of his land, and they always show up the next day to an empty patch of dirt with a single bunch of grapes on the ground. By now, almost everyone has heard of Farmer Joe and his disappearing act. One day, the state showed up to Joe’s vineyard, told him that he was about to be kicked off his land, and that he had a day to pack. After that, the state grew suspicious. So they sent you, another fellow farmer gim, to go investigate. Under the cover of darkness, you crept into Joe’s vineyard. Walking around, the vineyard was quiet, eerily quiet…. Then, you heard sounds coming from the barn. Sounds of chanting…harmonious chanting. They seemed all to familiar…almost like Joe’s own voice…. You peek into an open crack and see Joe, standing next to this luminous crystal. It filled the barn with a strange radiance. Joe was staring deeply into the light of the crystal, chanting words in a language you had never heard of before. Suddenly, the crystal hummed and started flashing. It repeatedly flashed, something es fast, sometimes slow. Then, you heard a voice. A deep, rumbling voice.
“You weren’t supposed to see this…” You realize that the source of this voice was the crystal.
“What have you done to Joe?” You yell.
The crystal laughed, “You humans are so greedy, aka ways wanting power. Always wanting to achieve things that are impossible. Well, I turn your impossible dreams into something possible. The only price, your own soul. I will consume you on the inside. Eating away at your soul until you are a heartless monster. You will have no mercy, no care, my puppet. And you will too, that is, if Joe can catch you…. Joe, show them what happens if an Unknowing sees me.”
Joe’s head twisted unnaturally to face you. “ N͔͔̥̺̞̿͊̇o͙͙̙̘̙ͤͫ͞…s̨̞̞̰͎͎̪̩͕̈́̀ͯ̍ͧͅụ̴̴̾̀͟͡ṛ̣̬̫̍͌ͩ͟v̹̹̘̼̞̻͆ͩ̓ͪ͢i̧̻̻͉̜͑ͪ̾͟v̹̹̘̼̞̻͆ͩ̓ͪ͢o͙͙̙̘̙ͤͫ͞ṛ̣̬̫̍͌ͩ͟s̨̞̞̰͎͎̪̩͕̈́̀ͯ̍ͧͅ…”
“Good Joe.” said the crystal. “Now get him.”
“ B̛̙̙͉̬̦̻̾͛̕͟ḛ̡̰̳͓̥ͬ͋ͪͧg̬̬̱ͩ͋͟͟o͙͙̙̘̙ͤͫ͞n̫̫̘̗͕̲̲̎ͥḛ̡̰̳͓̥ͬ͋ͪͧ f̰̰̯͕͊̃̊͞͞͞ṛ̣̬̫̍͌ͩ͟o͙͙̙̘̙ͤͫ͞m̰̰̹͚̙̂ͦ͗͠ h̨͚͚͖ͯ̒̄͗͞ḛ̡̰̳͓̥ͬ͋ͪͧṛ̣̬̫̍͌ͩ͟ḛ̡̰̳͓̥ͬ͋ͪͧ!”
Suddenly, you are involved in the chase of your life. Joe’s beady red eyes hunt you down as you dart through the halls of his lifeless home, rows of grape vines, and the unnaturally thorny bramble on the exegesis of his property. All night, you run, jump, and dodge Joe as he chases you down, trying to, ahem, end you.
There are three endings here. If Joe catches you, you get the c̨̨̣̮̝̈́̔ͯ̀͂a͔͔̜̗̦ͩ̅̎ụ̴̴̾̀͟͡g̬̬̱ͩ͋͟͟h̨͚͚͖ͯ̒̄͗͞t͖͖̠̬͛ Ending. If you manage to survive Joe, then you bust your way out of the vineyard and love to tell the tale, although no one will believe you, unfortunately, and you will revive the Good Ending. If you manage to find the secret hidden scrolls hidden all around. Joe’s vineyard, it will help you unlock the Secret Ending. These scrolls contain info on the crystal in the barn and the key to the shed where Joe keeps the Sword of Banishment in (don’t ask where he got it). Using this sword, you go into the barn and d3stroy the crystal, freeing Joe and you return home to discover that a same shard of the crystal remains in your pocket. The shard whispers, “d0n’t leave me here…I can help you achieve your wildest dreams…”. A portal then appears in the center of your room. “come with me……” Looking at the portal, you decide to go in…

Okay, lore time!
Ahh, nice peaceful life in the woods. A simple life one might find boring. But, Kate(character’s name, change the name if you like, I dunno) loved it. A simple life, was a good life. Until, on a foggy day in the woods, a traumatizing event occurred. Kate was picking some berries in the forest, humming her favorite song. She spotted something in the distance, grapes. GRAPES! Rare to pick in the forest but when she spots one one, she has to grab it. She scrambled to where the grapes were.
Huh? Weird, the grapes just disappeared out of thin air and appeared again in another spot. Kate scrambled to get it but it just led her to a part of the woods no one has ever gone.
No one has ever gone that far because it is dangerous and very hazy.
But, Kate didn’t notice how far she went and kept chasing after the grapes. Kate didn’t notice but the grapes kept getting bigger and bigger as she followed them.
(you can guess what’s happening) Finally, after a long time following, Kate realized the grape was… as big as her?!
As she got closer, it didn’t disappear like the others but instead did something scarier.
It… opened its eyes. HUH? Grapes don’t have eyes.
This one did, creepy big red eyes staring right into her face. Kate panicked and screamed.
…no sound came out. The grape…grinned?! And started to pull out a gadget, the air was hazy so she couldn’t see what kind of gadget.
She stood there, frozen by f3ar.
The grape took aim.
Then, Kate ran like the wind, her hair whipped through the leaves, branches scratched her face, and vines tangled her shoes. When your running for your life, you don’t care about anything, just to live.
When Kate reached her cabin, she was messy and disgusting. Taking a deep breath she sat down and contained herself. She HAD to get rid of that grape so people could safely travel through.
Okay, she made it sound like she wanted to help people but she always dreamed of everyone praising her and her being a hero.
This was her chance. But, she was scared she might
(Kate have 2 choices, go to town and pretend that Kate defeated this strong monster. OR Kate can actually go fight the monster and defeat it)
if Kate goes to town and pretend, THE END, people travel to the woods and get k1lled. Rumor spreads that Kate didn’t defeat it and she has to live in jail forever.
If Kate goes to k1ll the monster than she has to go to town and find gadgets and materials. Kate gets to choose when she fights the monster. She can wait a whole 20 minutes in town and get everything: shield cans, heath packs, all the gadgets, etc. then go fight the monster. Or, she can get 1 gadget and nothing else then go fight the monster.
I know it isn’t as descriptive as CommanderGOAT’s and it’s pretty basic…

Wait… LOOOOOOOOOOOORE? YES!!!
ring ring “Hello? What, slow down I can’t hear you. M0m? Okay where are you? What!? What is happening?! M0M!!!” You turn the key and pull the clutch. You speed out of the driveway, and immediately slam into the brakes. A child runs through the street, screaming. You don’t care and drive to the farm. The car stopped suddenly and you suddenly shoved open the house door. All of the lights were out when you opened the door, a sticky substance trails to the back. You walk through the kitchen and notice nothing strange. The back door is open, suddenly the sun goes down. It was just day but now it is suddenly night? That is strange. Running now you find a grape harvester right outside the house, running past the harvester. The sticky substance leads to the barn, and for some reason the barn door is open. When you walk in suddenly the lights turn on and the sight is strange, a giant machine rests in the center of the room, the [redacted] hangs out of the top of the crusher. You notice a familiar bright orange phone hanging out of the back pocket of the pants. That phone, no it couldn’t be, could it? Was that your brother’s phone? You walk past the crusher, I need to get to my mother you thought. A shrill scream echoes through the barn. You run to the next room. Your father’s body was submerged into a large tank of yeast, a pulsating emanates from the tank, the adrenaline stops rushing through your veins. You creak open the door of the next room, afraid of what horror awaits you. The door creaks open suddenly, a giant grape jumps in your way. You fall backwards trying to scurry away but–“YOU ARE TOO LATE, THEY ARE ALL GONE. I TOOK CARE OF THEM, YOUR WELCOME.” Everything fades black. You wake up in a giant bottle, the grape watches you, and waves, you attempt to scream but a motor drowns out your voice, the shattering of a glass bottle and a crunch sounded through the room.
I had to redact some of it. Sorry I didn’t want to give you nightmares. I will try not to sleep now (I am afraid of the nightmares)

Ohh, I’m thinking a grassy terrain for the woods
but when it enters a spooky region maybe make the terrain stone/concrete/dirt
