Just_Me here!
I’m making a FarmTopia map, and I need some ideas! “FarmTopia” is my prequel to One Way Out >:3
Oh yeah! Here’s what I have so far:
Map
I have a barn, a plant farm, and an entrance.
I’ve never actually been to a farm.
Story
I only have the story- no lore yet!
In my map, you get sent to this strange farm. You meet other gims, work on the farm, etc. Then, you find a bunker. You read notebooks and some diaries and find out that the land owner was secretly experimenting on his plants. Eventually, you find a rocket, and get trapped on it. What happens next? One Way Out does.
Okay. That’s what you need to know. Now, what do I need?
Help w/ these, pls!
More places on my map! 3 places in not enough- but I ran out of ideas!
Lore.
I need a place FOR the bunker.
How do you make secret entrances?
P.S. Guess what? I need multiple endings now. I’ve actually never put more than 1 ending in my games soooo…
Also, my endings were never super good. So, yeah.
1: Add pens with animals; pigs, goats, cows, chickens, etc.
2: Add a storage house
3: Add the main house (where everyone lives)
4: A river or some other body of water.
As for the secret entrance, you could make a quest where you have to feed the animals with hay, but when you move one of the hay bales you find a tunnel behind it. The tunnel leads to the bunker.
You could also make special events to make it more interactive. Like the animals got out or your evil grandparents made you clean the house. Or even rain and the ground gets really slippery.
Here are the pigs :>
Also, I like all of the ideas that have been sent so far.
I’m going to keep this open for a bit more, because I still need lore :>
If your farm practices restorative farming (fancy farm words), Make sure to place the cows near the chickens. It’s a small detail, but there’s a reason for this (I don’t want to bore you with it tho)
Boring stuff
how’d you guess >:)
So when cows eat grass, at some point they eat all of it, when that happens, farmers move the cow pen to a place with more grass while they wait for the og patch to grow back. If you don’t practice restorative farming, it will take longer. If you do, you usually move chickens to the old patch so that they could pick out the bad stuff that keeps it from growing back. That way the grass grows faster
