I keep making posts for horror games but the game is never good someone give me an idea
Creating a horror-themed Gimkit game can be an exciting challenge!
Here are some ideas!
1. Haunted School Escape
- Story: Players are trapped in a haunted school and must answer questions to unlock doors and escape.
- Gameplay Mechanics:
- Divide the game into “rooms” (levels). Each room has different challenges, like: defeat the ghostly teacher, or answer a few questions before a certain entity arrives.
- Introduce a timer or “chase” mechanic where a ghost “gets closer” if players answer incorrectly.
- Incorporate power-ups like “Flashlight” (reveals an answer hint) or “Key” (skips a question).
2. Abandoned Manor
- Story: Players explore an abandoned manor seeing how long they can survive in it, collecting artifacts by answering themed questions, talking to people, or defeating enemies, like ghosts.
- Gameplay Mechanics:
- Introduce special rewards for completing collections (e.g., bonus points or protection).
3. Lights Out
- Story: There is a maze where players have to escape by using clues around them and dodging enemies, occasionally being surprised with “lights out” event.
its funny u mention it, on Halloween I almost did the haunted mansion thing
I had suspicions on this being AI but…
Horror, if anything, you need monsters or weird creatures and jump scares. I guess for jump scares it would be a dark blank screen and then a picture of something creepy with flashing lights?
But then again, you’ll have to try to make it playable by 6 yo.
Here a guide about horror game stuff and how to do it
horror games don’t need jumpscares.my old teacher resident evil taught me that
lol
ummmm scratch scratch scratch (me knowing I dodged a bullet)
…reading back your post @bendyandink, you don’t spam posts just because they’re not getting attention . Give them time, wait overnight, people will respond. If you keep posting the same topic you might be flagged for spamming.
I have learned that.
My Suggestion
Not to be rude or anything, but try thinking of your own ideas if other people’s ideas aren’t working for you. A good way to to this would be to invent your own horror game instead of making a remake of a preexisting one.
I mean I have one but its a FNAF fan game from scratch so not doing that…
No, like entirely original. Not a fan game.
SIGH
I just remembered a book I’m working on that might work
that is why I said not doing that
What I’m saying is: Be creative! Express your ideas!
make something original!
ok I have one, u accidently summon a unknown creature that can make other cretears (living pizza, etc) and u have to trap it in a mirror
plus i’ll add references from some of the best horror movies ever
Great idea! use that!
ok um description of the monster is a tall slender creature with a pumpkin head(not its true form, its controlling a scarecrow)with a black body, eyes and mouth glowing purple and its mouth can open wide that to scary of good enough?
thanks to Stephen king for pennywise which gave me inspiration
