I Need Help With New Areas In My Parkour Game :/

Im making a snowy-cave themed parkour game called blizzard or smtn (Name is still being workshopped) and I want it to be decently hard but I also have no ideas for what to make next :confused: Its like this level of difficulty:

I don’t really want to have slope jumps cuz they just artificially increase the difficulty and its kinda bland. I also wana add a temperature mechanic when you get out of the cave or smtn.

Welcome! So you are looking for suggestions of what to add for next level right? If so, Mable add some level like icicle that is in the caves or you could make a combinations of cave, icicle, snow, or maybe some snow animal who live inside the cave?

Yes, its kinda like a tower going up so far

Welcome to the forums, JustAToaster! Maybe add ice spikes on the ground for added difficulty? (no collision barrier with a laser hidden in it)

Hey Justatoaster. To make things more interesting, why not add puzzles?

You could make it so you need to collect a key to move on to the next section of the tower. You can use a button/checker, or to make it simpler, just use a vending machine to disable a invisible barrier.

Try also thinking outside the box, literally. Try adding parkour outside and arroud the structure, adding some intensity so if you fall down you don’t have any obstacles below to catch yourself.

I do actually already have both of those (not trying to be annoying) at the topish part of the picture I had like a lever to deactivate the white laser, only I realized I couldn’t add multiple pictures to show the whole thing. I also have some bits later on that have a hole in the wall where you do a small section and go back into the main room.

All I can suggest now is maybe add lore, a story (if you haven’t already).

Also maybe add dialog with characters you encounter on your ascent.

Adding boss fights would also be cool

maybe add like a blizzard area were there is less vision and its hard to navigate

A boss fight seems like a really cool idea but how should it work and still fit the theme/story?

Edit: How should you fight the boss to be more specific (Sorry, been doing the new person tutorial)

Maybe make a cave where it gets darker the further you go down and the boss is waiting there for you while you start to freeze and lose heath
