So in my game I need to make a button with a cooldown, and I don’t even know if this is even posssible, but I think it is.

Use two wire repeaters, one that deactivates it and one that is the cool down

That’s how long it takes to hold, they’re asking for a cooldown.

2 wire repeaters, 1 with a 0.2 second delay that wires back to the button and deactivates it, and the other with whatever the delay you want minus 0.2 seconds that reactivates the button.
And why does this have the no-pictures tag??? This isn’t a guide from 2022.

Urm… there is no No Pictures Tag but..
All of you are wrong!!
The easiest way to do this is getting a Trigger. Then setting its delay to whatever you want and then channel it to whatever you want.
If you want I can put pics!

when button pressed deactivate and wire to a trigger waiting for time then reactivating the button (I think)

The tag was removed because I’m pretty sure it’s used for old guides that got their pictures removed.
Also, the OP wants a way to make it so a button can’t be pressed for a certain amount of time after it’s been pressed.

This guide by Monereuk shows some steps to obtain what you want, however there are no images.
No there isn’t, the best thing you can do is what @HelloSmartie said and use a trigger to detect when the game overlay button is pressed.
I think I found the memory efficient way to do it.
