Hunter and Survivor Ideas for a Forsaken Game

So…I’ve been working on a forsaken game. I have a functioning sprinting system, slash mechanic, and a (semi-) functioning round timer and stamina bar. So I decided, “Hey, it’s a perfect time to ask for some character ideas!” So, here I am, asking for some ideas for hunters and survivors from you (slightly questionable) forumers!


Fromat:

For survivors:
  • Name: (Can be custom!)
  • Gim: (What gim will represent this survivor)
  • Passive: (the survivor’s passive ability. A passive ability is an ability that you don’t need to click a button to activate) (OPTIONAL)
  • Abilities: (the survivor’s abilities. They can have a max of 2. Please also provide the cooldowns of the abilities. It would save me a lot of time)
  • Backstory: (The survivor’s backstory. How they got here, and what they did) (OPTIONAL but would help me a lot :)
  • Notes: (Any additional information on what you’d want the survivor would have. Like, any accessories you’d like them to have on their character)
For hunters:
  • Name: (The hunter’s name. It does not have to be the name of a preexisting gim. It can be though :)
  • Passives: (Any passives the hunter would have) (AT LEAST ONE)
  • Abilities: (Any abilities the hunter would have. Has to be two)
  • Notes: (Any notes on what the hunter’s character would look like) (OPTIONAL)
  • Concept Art: (Concept art of what the character would look like) (OPTIONAL but would help :)

Name: The Broker

Gim: The Broker [2]

Passive: Money, money, money [3]
The broker earns cash whenever he or another survivor complete a generator puzzle (if those exist in your game), and also gains cash every 5 seconds for each survivor he has hired that is alive. Cash amounts can be changed for balance.

Ability 1: Hire (Cooldown: 15s) (3 charges)
The next survivor the Broker touches is hired by him, granting his new hire a permanent 1.05 times speed boost. If any other speed modifier takes effect, or the survivor that is hired already has a speed modifier, this boost loses its effect. If you already have a system with a waypoint assigned to each survivor, the broker gains a waypoint pointing to each of his hires at all times.

Ability 2: Withdraw (Cooldown: 45s) (Requires at least x cash)
The button for this ability displays how much cash the Broker currently has.
The broker spends x cash to teleport to a shop. This ability is similar to coolgui, requiring 6 seconds of standing completely still to teleport. If you’re using pseudo-health, this ability can be interrupted if the Broker takes damage, and he still spends the cash. It is also interrupted if LMS starts while he’s teleporting. This shop has a variety of purchasable items for cash (using a crafting table is probably the best option here.) A few ideas for purchasable items might be:

  • A health boost
  • a permanent speed boost
  • A pew pew
  • A cash multiplier
  • A shield can that can be dropped
  • Giving the Broker a stamina system
  • A consumable that shows all survivors the location of the evil scary for a few seconds
  • A consumable that gives the next survivor he touches a large temporary speed boost
  • A consumable that gives the next sentinel he touches a doubled stun time for their next stun
  • A consumable Shedletsky
  • Whatever medkit or cola you have in the game already.

If you want, you can ditch the shop teleport for a list popup that allows you to purchase from the selection of items.
The Broker can only have one consumable at a time, or two if you feel like making this already mechanically complex survivor even more complex.
In last man standing, this ability is replaced with a buy health boost button, which buys the health boost from the shop. The broker doesn’t need the required cash to use it.
After 20 seconds in the shop, when the Broker leaves, or when LMS starts, the Broker is teleported to one of the spawn locations on the map.
While you have a consumable, the ability changes to using the consumable. It displays your current consumable, as well as how much cash you have. This overrides the buy health boost button for LMS until you use the consumable.

Backstory: The Broker is a younger version of mayor Cole from Dig It Up. In this universe, he was a little younger when he went up in that balloon, and was reckless enough to end up tumbling out. But, instead of being met with the sweet release of depth, he arrived in this god-forsaken realm.

Sorry if this is a little mechanically advanced. You might not have the time or memory to do all of this.

Ok, I’ve never played forsaken before, but I do have an idea.
Shade role: oofer
gim- shadeborn
ability- vanish. Deactivates for 20 seconds, and respawns somewhere else.
Please let me know if you need anything else
As i’ve been asked to elaborate, I will.
the sentry disappears for a period of time (deactivates) like if you step in a zone, or what not, and it appears behind you to k!ll you. Will work best in a corridor of a sort.

Basically the lore is a bunch of people who have “sinned” were condemned here by something named “The [REDACTED]” to pay for their sins in their life.

Gotcha, will need some time, probably will do it over the weekend, as I will be trying to do the depth of the stuff I did for Char back in September.

Edit: Taking longer than expected due to midterm studying, will have to be put out over break next week, sorry @CommanderGOAT .

Idea - The Protector

Gim - Siriath (I think thats how you spell it)

Passive - Thick Armor | Has 50 Extra Max Health (Feel Free To Adjust) But Has A 0.5 Opacity Black Barrier Covering His Screen At All Times.

Ability 1 - Tackle | The Protector Lunges Forward At 1.5 Speed For 0.8 Seconds, If The Hunter Is Hit They Cannot Move For 2 Seconds But The Protector Takes 15 Self Damage And Gains A Charge For Repair.
(25 Second Cooldown)

Ability 2 - Repair | The Protector Stands Still For 10 Seconds To Fix His Armor, If Hit The Protector Does Not Cancel The Ability. After The 10 Second Delay The Protector Gains 20 Health, Requires A Charge To Use.
(50 Second Cooldown)

Backstory - The Protector Used To Be One Of The Strongest Soldiers In The Kingdom, Unfortunately, While Fighting A Dragon He Tried Tackling It But Couldn’t See Because Of His Bulky Armor And Fell Off A Cliff.

Extra - Preferably The Exposed Face Area On The Siriath Gim Should Be Covered Up To Symbolize His Heavy Armor.

An idea That Didn’t Get Accpeted

Survivor: White Out
“Just like a winter storm, sudenly sweeping in at the right time to save you” - JX1DX1

Passives

Passive: Winter Storm
“I can’t SEE! - White Out”

  • When White Out is using any ability, White Out will be temporarily blinded for 5 seconds.
  • This blindness will automatically stop, if White Out takes any form of damage (Except for effects)

Passive: Blizzard
“Pasts of regret” - White Out

  • If White Out does not complete a generator during that round and enters LMS then White Out will lose 40 health.
  • However, if White Out completes 2 generators, xhe will gain +10 health during LMS
Abilities

Ability 1: Freeze!
“I was low, and about to oof, but had a chance to run away” - Autumn

  • When this ability is used, White Out will gain the Slowness II for 2 seconds, after this 2 second delay, xhe will send out a winter gust that will freeze the k!ller if they are close enough.
  • Upon impact, White Out will heal for 5 health, and gain a charge for her “Winter Breeze” ability.
  • The K!ller will get the Stunned effect for 3 seconds
  • If this ability is missed, White Out will gain the Stunned effect for 2 seconds.

Ability 2: Winter Breeze
“A strong healing wind” - Lige

  • When used, White Out will obtain the Slowness II effect for 5 seconds, then teleporting to a random location. If White Out is hit by the k!ller during this time, it will cancel the ability
  • Once xhe has teleported, there will be a tree that spawns, which will stay for a total of 30 Seconds
  • This tree will give the Healing II effect when near the tree
    Cooldown: 50 Seconds
    Stack on Ability: 1
Lore

Originally a magical storm, White Out was the storm of good luck that swept through locations during winter. Seeing this storm was a sign of good luck and brought many people joy. One day, White Out mysteriously disappeared, which was not known in civilization until someone noticed.

Same Time White Out’s Disappearance
White Out was getting ready to leave her home, the clouds. After a few minutes of flight, xhe saw someone who looked sad. Giving her purpose was giving people a sign of luck, she swept over to the person. At the same time, the person, a corrupt scientist, had unfolded his plan to capture this spirit. Once White Out reached the scientist, the scientist captured her, and dragged her back to the lab, where he put her into a giant testing tube.

White Out’s POV
White Out was trapped. Xhe couldn’t escape, no matter what xhe tried. Xhe saw the scientist walk over to a command pannel and type in a code. A few seconds later, she felt a jolt, and woke to see xer in a human body. She was devastated, and the scientist had ran away. That day, she took an oath to protect anybody who was in danger or was hurt.

Scientist’s POV
His plan had worked. He proceeded into his next step, extracting a little tiny bit of White Out’s luck.
Once he opened the Command Pannel, however, there was a warning, “Bah,” he said, ignoring this warning. He pressed a button to do the extracting, but the system malfunctioned and had backfired, afraid he had done something bad, he ran away.

I can show you my FNAG code witch is basicly the same thing

I think the metal rack prop would be the best option, it doesn’t completely cover his face which would symbolize the 0.5 opacity barrier.

Gim - Rocky West

Passive - Breach Of Contract | Bounty Hunter Moves At 1.2 Speed But If Bounty Hunter Doesn’t Eliminate A Survivor In The First 2 Minutes (Feel Free To Change It) Of The Round The Bounty Ability Will Be Locked For The Rest Of The Round And They Will Revert To 1.0 Speed.

Ability 1/M1 - Whip | The Bounty Hunter Pulls Out A Whip And Attacks All Survivors In A 3 Block Radius. There Is A 10% Chance He Will Accidentally Hit Himself Too Dealing 10 Self Damage And Slowing Him To 0.8 Speed For 1 Second. | 20 Damage | 2 Second Cooldown

Ability 2 - Bounty | The Bounty Hunter Stops For 2 Seconds To Read A Bounty Poster, After The Windup A Random Survivor Is Highlighted For 10 Seconds, During The 10 Seconds, The Bounty Hunter Moves At 1.5 Speed. | 30 Second Cooldown (Cooldown Starts After Ability Ends)

Backstory - He Used To Be An Average Bounty Hunter But One Day He Came Across A Weird Entity, He Signed A Contract To Become The Best Bounty Hunter In All The Lands. The Only Downside Was That He Had To Fulfill Every Bounty Or He And His Entire Family Would Be Tortured For Eternity. One Of His Biggest Competitors Found Out About The Contract And Placed A Bounty On Him. The Only Option Was To Either End Himself Or Have His Entire Family Suffer For Eternity, So He Ended Himself.

Extra - Perhaps Add A Whip (W/ The Custom Shape Device) And Or The Paper/Scroll Prop On His Hip.

Hunter: Cold Blood

Passive: Pitiless Hunt
every 20 seconds, Cold Blood will get speed I for 10 seconds.

Abilities:

Ability 1: Callous Beatdown
Cold Blood will pull out a pipe and hit a survivor within a 5 block radius, give them a smackdown, and deal 100 dmg (a 1 hit k!ll move, op)
cooldown is 45 secs -1 min

Ability 2: Stab
Cold Blood attacks any survivor in a 2 block radius and deals 25 damage, plus weakness 1, and blindness
cooldown is 15-20 seconds

Notes: I dunno not any

Concept art: I guess i’d do Puffer gim with the face obscured and some sorta pipe looking thing with a barrier. I’ll try and make an example in the morning.

Type:Support
The Lost City
Gim:Atlantis
Passive:Flow like water-You basically walk a bit faster than most survivors
Ability 1:Tidal Rush-Gives a speed boost to all survivors near you (including yourself) for 2 sec and slows down hunters near you for 2 sec (30 sec cd)
Ability 2:Ocean’s Blessing-Gives yourself a shield can or medkit (you decide or maybe even both) that you can use for yourself or drop for others (45 sec cd)
Backstory:The lost city of Atlantis was beautiful. However, it suddenly disappeared. No one knows how, but it was discovered in an abyss. During its time in the abyss the lost city created its own mind, hoping to one day serve others as it once did.

@HappyGoose12: I like it. Didn’t have any ideas for a support character, so this helps lot. One slight problem, the Atlantis is not a selectable gim for the character device. That means, I can’t make the character device show the Atlantis gim. Any other gims that could be used to represent this?

@Roberta: A lil’ complicated, but I think it’s possible. Great job!
